Not only is Dr. Wahn G. Khang extremely caring and kind in manner, but he is also qualified to handle your delicate periodontal procedure with confidence and skill. Dr. Wahn Khang is a talented periodontist who received his Doctor of Dental Medicine from Tufts University in 1996, after which he performed an externship as a dental resident at Ottis Coast Guard Air Base in Cape Cod, MA.
The word "periodontal" means "around the tooth." Accordingly, a periodontist is a dentist who specializes in the knowledge, diagnosis, and surgical treatment of the tissue around the teeth, namely the gums. Periodontists are skilled in treating and helping their patients manage periodontal diseases, such as gingivitis, gingival recession, also known as gum disease and gum recession.
