Check out your bill definitely & try to get the written quote in advance and for sure check it with your provider. Beside, they charged me for PPE, no kidding?! They asked me to pay for their staff's mask & shield! Doctor were polite during my 2 minutes conversation! But assistant who worked on my cleaning were nagging me whole the time for no good reason!

I've been a patient of Dr Sassani since 2005 and he is the best. I have over a dozen crowns and he has excellent technique and all my crowns are a good fit and trouble free. He is very personable and his office staff are friendly and very professional! If you are looking for an individual practice General Dentist you will be very happy with Dr Sassani

I didn't realize what a wonderful place Dr Sassani's office is until I moved out of town! Dr Sassani, his assistants and everyone in the front office are courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly. It's going to take a lot of looking to find a dentist in my new location that measures up.

I have been going to Dr. Sassani for 10+ years now. Doctor and his staff are always super friendly. They try hard to fit around your schedule and they do a very good job. I liked Dr. Sassani's practice so much I even made my wife change her dentist to go here.

Preformed three oral examinations knowing that my insurance would only cover two of them and didn't tell me ahead of time I was on the hook for the third. As a side note, what healthy person needs more than two in a year? Since they're willing to piss off a patient over $70 (or a charge for thirty seconds of a hygienist's, not a dentist's, time), business must be really good and they're not in the need of repeat or new customers. Addendum: In the interest of fairness (and my hand being forced, if you will) I should address some inaccuracies from my original review and elaborate on my experience here.

My ultimate sentiments, however, do not change. As noted in the doctor's response below (which, for what it's worth, I believe constitutes a HIPPA violation) I actually was in the office three times: twice for a routine cleaning and once for cavity filling. A few hours after writing my initial review, I received a phone call from someone at the office emphasizing she had "taken the liberty" to contact my insurance and to follow up on our earlier conversation.

Of course there was nothing new: she simply reiterated what I had told her that morning that my insurance only covered two examinations and that the third one I had received would not be covered. And some additional background: I had become a new patient at this office in the middle of the year (July), and made it clear that up to that point, I had been seeing a dentist regularly, mentioning that insurance covered quarterly cleanings and biannual examinations. I'm sure like most patients, upon entering the office for routine work, I go into autopilot, sit in that dentist chair and "let them do whatever" to my teeth, with my attention only piqued when something sounds painful, or when something sounds like there would be an out-of-pocket expense associated with it.

Money and pain, in short, gets my attention. Alas, on my third cleaning of the year (second cleaning at this office), an oral exam was performed and I will take some blame because I should have known that that would be my third exam of the year. In this case however, I would have expected the office would have "taken the liberty" to contact my insurance earlier (perhaps when I first became a patient) to understand what was left on my yearly allowance.

This seems especially obvious as I became a new patient in the middle of the year. I don't believe it is outrageous to expect that part of the service is to be alerted ahead of time of potential charges. I am also not one to ask for freebies, so at least in this scenario, I would have been perfectly happy with the token gesture of splitting that cost as an admittance that both parties could have done better. Regardless, at the end of the day, $70 or $35 is not a significant sum, so, while this review was never about the money, a little good-will does go a long way. But because this office does not satisfy my not-unreasonable expected level of service, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Front desk girls are great and Dr Sassani has a gental touch and is very informative.

I cannot recommend Dr. Sassani and his team enough. I came into his office in literal tears, I had neglected to go to the dentist for a few years and was paying for it with a very bad infection. Dr. Sassani was very empathetic, his first and foremost goal was to relieve me of my immediate pain, and that he did. From there, he developed a simple plan to get my dental health back in order.

That was a few months ago, and today I just went in to finish my crown and get the last few cavities taken care of (we had put a temporary on and waited for the new year for my insurance to renew). I finally have a healthy mouth again and a huge burden of stress has been taken off my shoulders because of this. Some more details: - He is amazing at giving shots, I've gotten about 7-8 anesthetic shots from him so far and he is always very gentle, you barely even know he's sticking a needle in your gum! - He communicates very well, making sure you know exactly what he's doing and why he's doing it. - Just overall a very nice guy. Couldn't recommend enough, thanks again Dr. Sassani!

I have been a patient of Dr. Sasani for any years. He is gentle and always made me feel like family. He really cares about my teeth. I moved 3 hours away and still go see him. If you need a great dentist he is your man. The office personal are also great.

Another 5-start review here: Andre Sassani is an artist. He works quickly and gently, handling injections, fillings, crowns and you-name-it with ease. As he works, he asks if your'e ok, tells you what he's doing, answers questions, provides guidance. He is respectful of your time. He is polite to his staff. Office staff is delightful, professional, kind. Hygenist is gentle and full of information. It's a win all around.

Dr. Sassani is by far the best dentist I have ever gone to. He could have been a surgeon with his hands. Precision dentistry with a gentle touch makes for a pleasant painless experience. The staff is always helpful and accommodating with my scheduling changes. I love the no waiting policy, just show up on time and your seated and made ready for the Pro. Over all, a pleasant experience with the benefit of better health.

I can't believe I've never done a review for Dr S! Best dentist, EVER! I couldn't recommend anyone more highly than him. I've always hated going to the dentist, but this guy is fantastic! Seriously, if you have a dentist phobia, he's the guy to see. So gentle and kind. And his staff are great too!

I started going to Dr. Sassani when he took over for the previous dentist. After going to the same dentist for 31 years I was very nervous and reluctant going to someone new. Its 10 years later and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this dentist. I wouldn't trust anybody else with my teeth. He is gentle, knows his stuff, and honestly cares that I'm a big baby in the chair!

Dr. Sassani has been my dentist for about 10 years now. I have nothing but good things to say about him. He's obviously very competent at what he does. He's also caring and takes good care of his patients. All the work he's done on my teeth (crowns, fillings, bridges) have been good, with lasting results. I would not hesitate to recommend him to my family and friends. It's difficult to choose a dentist if you know nothing about him. Here's one you can trust.

Dr. Sassani and his staff were simply fantastic. They were on time with my appointment, no 30 minute wait in the lobby, the staff is incredibly welcoming, polite and wants to be sure that all questions and or concerns are answered. The cleaning was thorough, no painful in the least and I was in and out in a timely matter. I just moved here from Dallas, TX and this was a very pleasant experience. I have full intentions of making Dr. Sassani my dentist I will always see here in San Jose.

I have to say this is the first time I haven't been afraid of the dental needle! Painless filling and very nice staff make for a pleasant dentist experience. I was recomended to them by someone in my office and I am was very happy to recomend him to my parents. Both my parents now drive from Gilroy to see Dr. Sassani. I feel compelled to extend my recomendation to anyone looking for a great dentist. If you want honest feedback on a healthy mouth and don't want to experience the pain, Dr. Sassani is the BEST~

I was one of those people deathly afraid of dentists. Well Dr. Sassani and his staff are one of a kind. Not only do they make you feel at ease, but even procedures that would normally keep me away have been unbelievable. I can't say enough about his office and staff! AND again, I was so afraid (and still am at times) but Dr. Sassani and his staff made such a difference, truly.

I called up Dr. Sassani's office today with the uncomfortable task of telling them I would not be coming in for my scheduled cleaning. After 1.5 years of commuting from SF down to Santa Clara just to go the dentist, I'd finally had enough. Time to go local. But I was reminded of one of the many reasons why this office is so great. The office staff was super helpful in canceling my appointment, and even sending my x-rays to my new dentist. Really the most friendly office staff anywhere. Dr Sassani himself is also great. Plenty of personal attention. Definitely recommend him if you are in the area.
