These dental plans are designed and offered by licensed insurance companies and are usually offered only to employer groups. The theory behind insurance is to "collect more money in premiums than what it costs for administration and claims while allowing the insurance company to make a profit". The reasons premiums increase is because the claims submitted by the group and the costs of providing dentistry have increased. Insurance plans most always have waiting periods, yearly maximums, claim forms, deductibles and network providers.
Founded in 1978, we are Arizona's oldest dental savings plan. By purchasing a yearly membership, you gain access to a network of participating dental offices that provide the same quality dental services but at affordable and predictible prices. Are you a resident of Arizona? Then take this opportunity to join a time tested and cost effective alternative to traditional dental insurance.
In addition to the dental benefits described, you can also receive additional savings for Optical, Pharmacy, Chiropractic, and other health care related services! And now, you can upgradce to the PLUS PLAN without charge! However, you must select the "free upgrade" option in order to obtain the PLUS PLAN membership status.
American Dental Plan offers "Open Enrollment". We will reply to receiving your application and will email id cards upon processing. Should you have any questions, or wish to enroll by phone, please call (602) 265-6677. The administrative office is currently virtual. If we are unable to answer your call, please leave a message and your call will be returned at our soonest opportunity. Contact General Dentists to perform most any dental procedure, (ie fillings, periodontal therapy, root canals, dentures, bridges, even implants).

It's a big scam. They still charge you almost in full for everything. They say you get free Exams and then they try to charge you $100 just for being seen. They lie about their General Dentist being an Oral Surgeon. They get you locked into their plan and then the price gouging begins. Long waits, and rude staff that are unprofessional and act like it is a hassle doing the basic tasks of their jobs. They'll put you on hold for 30 minutes in the Commack office and then will just hang up the phone as if they completely forgot about you.
The Commack office closes whenever they feel like it. They're supposed to be open until 7PM most days but when I called them back after being on hold for 30 minutes at 5:30PM I got an automated machine that said the office was closed for the day. There is no communication between offices. They are a franchise but they act like they're not associated with each other at all.
Their records are all out of sync. They stack patients and barely give you any time. It is not worth it at all. You are better off going to a Private Dentist. You will get around the same prices and will get much better, much more compassionate treatment.

American Dental plan is by far the greatest way to save money on dental services. They have a very large network of dental professionals to pick from. The yearly membership more than pays for itself in just 1 visit. I would recommend it to anyone even if you have dental insurance it saves money on many of your out of pocket cost. And if you don't have dental insurance it's a no brainier.
