Been going here for years. Everyone is very nice. I met Jessica, the dental hygienist, today and she's cleaning was (practically) pain free. Good experience as far as cleanings go!

I absolutely love working with Dr. Kim and his staff. From the moment I stepped into that place for the first time they were very friendly and made my enrollment and procedure very simple.

I got excellent services and all the staff are polite and friendly. Dr. Kim, my doctor does an outstanding job by any measurement in the field of dentistry.

I got really really screwed over by these guys and am still paying the price many years later. Be very careful if you are a client of theirs. They used a cheap implant that they bought online (not a name brand) that failed within a month of being used. The crown was such poor quality and a disaster that it failed within a month and was loose for a long time. Had to spend over $13,000 fixing all of their hideous mistakes, causing years of pain and agony.

The office had to nerve to charge me $300 each time I tried to visit to get it resolved, so I gave up and ate the costs, also did not trust them at all. Oral surgeon and new dentist were appalled at what happened, as they never saw anyone get screwed over as much as me. This place should be shut down by the state for what they do to people. Nobody knows about implants or cheap brands (I paid over $5,500 so it wasn't even cheap, they just made more money out of me and $2,500 for the crown). Such a scam DO NOT COME HERE!

Dr. Kim is a very professional, knowledgeable, skilled and also very polite and patient. Great staff - everyone is super friendly and really goes out to make me comfortable and calming. I recommend this office to my family, friends and every one.

I've been coming to 212 smiling since 2015, and I've even brought my roommate on board. We are both big fans. Everyone is very friendly and easy to work with. I'm happy I found 212 dentist in New York, because most of my other health care experiences have been overly salesly and smoke and mirrors. These guys are straight shooters and good people. Highly recommend! When I went they only had 1 location and now they have 2! Others must also feel the same way

Dr. Kim is exceptional. He's incredibly intelligent, kind, courteous, and fast. I needed a root canal and it was painless. what? I thought they were awful? I walked in w/ two broken teeth from a skateboard fall and walked out maybe 2 hours later with a crown & implant and temporary teeth so good no one could tell anything happened. Just went back today for my follow up to get the permanent custom teeth made and same degree of professionalism. I wouldn't ever go elsewhere again.

I drive from 2 hours away to come to this dentist office every 3 months for cleanings and other routine dental care. this should tell you something! I have severe anxiety with the dentist and they are always patient accommodating and understanding. They accept so many insurances as well as offering easy payment options with competitive rates and top notch care.

They offer sedation (without anesthesia) that helped me get through procedures (that other offices could only refer me out) that any typical dentist would not be able to accommodate at a substantially lower rate than what my local practitioners were unable to offer. For any client with fear of instruments in their mouth x-rays, etc and unsure of the ability to afford your local practice, it is worth the drive! World of difference!

This is a wonderful office. Dr. Kim is terrific and the experience is very professional and patient centric. Really need to give a shout out the the staff, they are the best. They really do make the visit pleasant. Highest quality work and wonderful staff

Our family has gone to 212 Smiling Cosmetic Dentistry. We really love this place and Cindy was very kind and helpful. Dr. Kim is very professional, and the technology is top notch.

I was originally terrified of the dentist (after some traumatic previous experiences) but the kind and patient staff at 212 Smiling made me feel so comfortable. I've been back many times and they not only take good care of my teeth but are always so friendly. Now I really look forward to going to the dentist (didn't know that was possible). Edit: They contacted about the reviewing and fixing the night guard. The second visit was better than the first. I appreciate the customer service and wanting to fix the issue. They messed up on my nightguard. Didn't really seem like they cared about each patient. Space is really small and cramped. If you could I would recommend going somewhere else

You know, like most people I seem to always experience a heightened sense of anxiety when I go to the dentist. That said, whenever I leave Smiling Cosmetic Dentistry I am always happy! Not only are they professional they are extremely nice. Kudos to you Dr. Kim and your wonderful staff.

I go to Dr. Kim's office twice a year for cleaning and periodontal work. The staff is very skilled--their work is complete and effective. You can feel the strength and purpose in their hands, that they know what they are doing. They do a full periodontal evaluation, tooth by tooth. They have been very helpful in explaining the best techniques for brushing and cleaning teeth at home.

The rates are very reasonable. You can find much higher rates in Manhattan but I doubt if the service would be any better. They willingly quote rates ahead of doing the work, and they always honor their quotations. They have always honored scheduled appointment times. The personnel are friendly and personable. Dr. Kim has a very considerate and attentive manner, and discusses things easily and fully.

Dr. Krugman and Dr. Kim are both great. The work they did on my teeth was great and fast. They are also very polite and patient. The admin staff is also very pleasant. Never had a long wait.

$75 if you want to reschedule an appointment. Dr Kim was decent but administrative staff not accommodating and hygienist was rougher than average during a cleaning. Skip.

Dr. Kim was very reassuring that elaborate work was not necessarily needed - his thorough but conservative approach was just one of may things that made me very comfortable with him. It gave me great confidence in him and I am definitely going to continue my dental work with him. And additionally, his office staff were very friendly and helped me feel comfortable. Dr. Kurman and Dr. Kim at 212-Smiling are the best dentists I have ever been to. I have been with them for years and have never even once considered going elsewhere! Ever since my first visit they have been kind, supportive, gentle, funny, and all around the best. Their entire staff is just as amazing! Helpful, attentive, reassuring, and kind. LOOK NO FURTHER! Dr. Kim extracted my wisdom tooth in less that 8 minutes. Thats anesthetics included. I literally went right back to work after. I did not feel or see him give the shot at all (which is what makes me most nervous) i'm on my second day post op and i feel GREAT!

Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! I've been slacking in seeing a dentist (I was traumatized as a child) so I wasn't too surprised when my front tooth that was attached to a post came out. I couldn't go to work with a missing front tooth (looking like a hillbilly)! After frantically searching through the internet and after reading literally hundreds of reviews from various dentist, I decided to go to Dr Yung Kim.

From the time I walked in the door until I left, everyone in the office made me feel comfortable. I was soo pleased with their service that while waiting for my temporary tooth (their lab is in-house) I convinced a friend to switch to Dr Kim. Thank you!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I am usually a little anxious about going to the dentist, so I was nervous to go see a new doctor for a filling. The office staff was all super friendly, and the doctor I saw, Dr. Joanna Kurman was phenomenal. She was very attentive and knowledgeable. I will definately be going back!

Dr. Kurman is a true professional. She is very patient, gentle, and knowledgeable. Her staff are very supportive and anticipate her needs while performing procedures. Last month I had a filling installed and today had my teeth whitened. On both occasions Dr. Kurman explained her process and put my nervous mind at ease.

Dr. Kim and his team are fantastic! I was nervous to get my wisdom tooth taken out, after having a bad experience a few years ago with another orthodontist (messed up a nerve). The surgery went well and they were helpful and patient with answering all my questions. I am happy to say that there was no nerve damage this time around! I highly recommend Dr. Kim for all your dental work needs.

It's been two years since I last went to a dentist because my last experience at a different office left with me with swollen bloody gums as they proceeded to floss the hell out of my gums and not my teeth. They were pretty unfriendly and cold and left me with a bad taste. Fast forward to this week and I went to Dr Kim's office after a friend recommended him.

I could not have asked for a better experience. The wait wasn't too long, the whole checkup was thorough and professional, and I really liked the friendliness of the whole staff. I brought up that I had not visited a dentist for the last two years and he gave me good information on the condition of my teeth and what I can do to maintain them (floss everyday).

It also seems like there has been a change in management, so I'm glad I came even with some of the other reviews below. I felt like I was in very good hands and didn't have to worry about being upsold anything. I cannot recommend 212 Smiling enough and just happy to have found a dentist I actually don't dread going to now.

I have been a patient of the 212 Smiling team since early 2012, originally just checked them out as a viable option for doing my invisalign treatment. luckily i was received with such great care and warmth from all of the staff that I decided to opt for them as my caregivers. and i haven't regretted it for one second! the level of attention to detail even on the regular checkups throughout the treatment made me feel taken care of all the way from the Personable Dr Wolfson to the receptionist and everyone in between. the staff was very patient with my process as it was longer than usual not only because in my case, (my teeth were a much worse than the avg case) but also because along the treatment i had lost one of my retainers while i was on vacation and thus didnt wear them for 7 days enough to back track the procedure for more than a few weeks, gratefully Dr Diammon, (who has now left the office) got me back on track as fast as he could.

Once he left, the care i had from Dr Munz was just as outstanding and detailed not to mention the transition from one dentist care to the other was seamless and efficient. thanks to them i can now smile from ear to ear grinning for the first time after 19 years full of hidden laughs and grinless smiles. I wish them much much success and i know anyone will be in the right hands if they opt for 212 Smiling

Worst dental experience ever! In a city full of dentists and competition, this place should act more professional. I went in for a cleaning and when making the appointment over the phone was told my insurance definitely covered it. Went in and had x rays and cleaning done and was again told I didn't need to pay for anything (it was just a cleaning after all and I had insurance).

A year later, I keep getting calls and letters in the mail saying I owe a $50 balance. And no explanation of why. I have never had such an experience with any dental office. You're not treated like a patient, just money.

Decent dentist option. I've always had pretty good experiences with this place - got a few cavities filled and many many cleanings over ~5 year period. They have a decent amount of front office turnover, but its always worked out well for me.

.aaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnndddddddddd they wore me down to a 1-star review. After weeks of being given lip service that the consent form would be sent for my records to be released TO MY NEW DENTIST, I escalate the issue to the office manager. This finally gets me an email with a JPG of the form many hours later. I fill it out, PDF it, and send it back immediately.

The next day I receive an email with my x-rays. My issues: - I don't need a release form to see my own records. So why would you send them to me? - These are to be sent TO MY NEW DENTIST. You were given their mailing and email addresses, as well as their fax number. What reason do you have to not send them directly to her (yes. I called my new dentist to make sure 212 wasn't trying to be overly efficient and make sure I had a copy)? - The files were all mislabeled with the wrong extension (christopher.1jpg, christopher.2jpg, and my favorite, christopher.2pg) AVOID!

I'm deathly afraid of dentists and needed an emergency tooth extraction. The staff here were super friendly, accustomed a billing set-up to fit my pay schedule and the procedure itself was as painless as could be. Going forward, I've trusted this office for cleanings and regular appointments. I've only seen Dr. D? I think that's his name, the filipino dentist here and he's great.

I was watching tv during most of my visits and it kind of kept my mind off what was going on in my mouth. I've tried two other dentists offices here in Manhattan through recommendations from co-workers and both were horrific experiences. The first one I went to was in a swanky area in Flatiron and I don't think any of the european staff spoke english well (sketch) and all were extremely RUDE.

My second experience was an office in Tribeca and I literally felt like it was the fast food restaurant of dentists- IN AND OUT. Scary. Anyways- I trust Dr. D and the staff here is very friendly!
