Dr. Emilia Smith-Alvarez was born and raised in Miami, FL to Colombian parents. She completed her bachelors in psychology and pre-dental at New York University, graduating Cum Laude and a Founders Day Award recipient. She then went on to complete her dental training at Boston University's Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine - one of the country's leading dental schools utilizing state-of-the-art technology and equipment - graduating Magna Cum Laude and ranked within the top 10% of her class.

I am very happy with my new implant done by Dr Ordonez! I can laugh relaxed without worrying of the missing tooth and hole in my smile. I highly recommend all the team in South Florida Dental, there is always parking just in front, no wait for appointments, impeccably clean bathrooms and offices, and more importantly No Pain nor swelling in operation, and a perfect tooth that looks just like my previous one. My dentist recommended I go to Dr. Ordonez as a specialist for issues regarding TMJ and my bite. I was feeling a bit anxious and concerned until I walked into his office and was welcomed by his caring and kind staff. The office is state of the art and beautiful. Dr. Ordonez listened to my concerns attentively and after a very thorough exam, he explained and offered a treatment plan that made me feel at ease and hopeful. My bite is getting much better now, and I am not feeling any discomfort. I highly recommend Dr. Ordonez!

Dr Ordonez is amazing. He takes his time to explain in detail what your issues are and what are the best approaches for treatment. He is extremely knowledgeable. I trust him and I will be treating my TMJ disfunction with him as he is the only one I felt confident as a TMJ specialist after seeing 3 TMJ dentists before him. He makes going to the dentist a pleasure experience. His staff is great too!

Very clean office and friendly staff. I never have to wait long to see the doctor and the waiting room is spacious and relaxing. The free and easy stress free parking is a plus too. The doctors staff are compassionate and professional and I never feel rushed in or out. Dr. Alvaro Ordonez is friendly and always listens to my concerns and answers my all questions. My experience at this practice has been always great. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommended it! This was my second time and I have done extensive research on this last procedure and Dr. Ordonez has made it much better, considering the seriousness. I came with a lot of questions and they were responded promptly. Excellent professional. I am not a 5-stars person but I think it is well-deserved.

Love my desist and his staff. Dr. Ordonez takes pride of his work. He is as concerned about the quality of the work as of the aesthetic of it.
