Dr. McDonald is extremely attentive and takes the time to get to know you and your smile needs on a personal level. I felt fortunate to have Allison assisting Dr. McDonald as they navigated plans to construct my new smile. Everyone in the office goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. I highly recommend this incredible team to anyone planning to have braces in their future.

Looking for a place to get adult braces? Look no further! I am 25 years old with a upper narrow bite and I had went to many orthodontist consultations in the Salem/Keizer area before finally choosing my man Dr. McDonald/his amazingly wonderful staff that I just look forward to seeing every appointment. Also my girlfriend and her sister got work done when they were younger and they still have the most beautiful smiles to this day.

He was the only one in the area that can do the maxillary expander without having to go all the way to Portland and my dentist even recommended him (Salem Family Cosmetic Dentistry) and I couldn't ask for a more smoother procedure. Really took good care of me and made sure I was comfortable through the whole thing. At the end of the Maxillary procedure, I left in tears of joy because I knew I was in great hands going forward. *Also you don't have to get the EXPANDER* everyone is different but I definitely would recommend it if you're like me.

No pain, no gain! I'm only 10 months in the process and the work that has been done already, leaves me smiling more and more each day. It was worth every crank! Now that the beginning part is over, it's smooth sailing from here and look forward to getting the expander taken out soon! I really can't thank you enough doc if you're reading this. You've changed my life because my smile was the one thing that made me so self conscious. Also thank you to the staff as well for making me feel right at home every visit. McDonald's orthodontics is a great office! We started going when my son was 7. They are so patient and kind with the kids. They always make sure he is comfortable and not scared. Then there are the ortho bucks they give out to the kids to earn prizes. Great motivation for oral hygiene. Highly recommend their offices.

Dr. John is the best there is. He's taken care of both my children's braces and it's been the best experience. The guy sincerely cares and goes above and beyond expectations. My son recently had a weekend emergency and he was there for us in less then 30 minutes. He's the best.

We're fairly new patients but, we've been nothing but happy so far. All the employees are super nice and happy to answer ALL the questions I had. They're really easy to work with when it comes to financials too, which is really nice bc braces aren't cheap.

Highly recommend McDonald Orthodontics. Both our boys have received such great care from Dr John and his wonderful staff. Phonecalls home to check how the braces are feeling, urgent appointment early on during the pandemic and of course the Orthobucks are just a few of the ways we have been made to feel cared for. We also love the very convenient location in Keizer, and the ability to have appointments before or after school.

Dr. McDonald and his staff are simply fantastic! He truly cares for his patients, and his staff enjoys being there and are wonderful with kids. From the very first visit to see if, and what type of treatment my daughter was going to require I could tell he cares about the kids and the desired results for them. He was patient with my questions and I never felt like I was too demanding of his time.

My daughter required the use of a twin block device to correct the alignment of lower and upper teeth, followed up with the braces. The results are simply amazing! No teeth were pulled as I originally expected. The assistants were always great with the kids, and would make sure the kids understand how important it is to brush properly and not be lazy about it. Dr. McDonald would always follow up and always had a great interaction with them, talking about school, sports and other activities.

If I had questions he would take the time to answer them. If the questions and answers were more complicated he would make time to discuss them with me after hours. I never felt like I was a burden on him. Simply put, I have nothing but positives to say about Dr. John and his wonderful staff!
