I had the most incredible dental experience of my life. Dr. Stuedrus and his staff are the kindest, most gentle and sincere people I have ever had the pleasure to deal with me and my issues. Dr. is a customer where I work. All I said to him was "I need you" and BOOM! A week later it was done. I had an ongoing infection in my mouth for about a year now.
I saw him for the first time yesterday and today I have 4 terrible teeth gone from my head. I felt absolutely zero pain during the extractions AND I have no pain today. It's remarkable. I went from swollen about a week ago, to this morning not even 24 hours after seeing Dr. Studerus. No pain No swelling. My mind is clearer than it has been in about a year. I am very grateful to the entire staff at Dr Studerus Dental. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I worked in the dental field for many years and I'm pretty hard to please when it comes to selecting a dentist. I moved to the area in 2013 it took me a while but in 2016 I found Dr. Studerus and his team. I realize I've never given his office the great reference they deserve. So after my recent dental emergency and realizing had I listened to his advice I wouldn't be having an emergency I decided to thank them all for being there. You guys are great!

Dr. Studerus made a many mistakes on me, then had to fix his mistakes, then cancelled me. While I was out because he was doing an implant I had asked him to do a crown on an other tooth, but when I woke up I felt around, and I told them they did the wrong tooth. They did correct that mistake. Three times he had to send a crown back because they did not match my other teeth.
A filing that he had done six months before fell apart. He fixed it, then a few months later, it fell apart again. He cancelled me before fixing it. I do not recommend them at all - too many mistakes! Including charges that were not shown on the paperwork that were not paid for by my insurance.

I had a very bad experience about 5 years ago (I was 15 at the time) getting my wisdom teeth removed. During the surgery Dr. Studerus was unable to insert the IV securely into my arm (in the end I had 12 punctures on one arm and 13 in the other) he asked me, after he had already given me some medication initially to prepare for the surgery, if I would want to wait to see an oral surgeon or if I would be okay to do the rest of the procedure with local anesthetic and happy gas.
I clearly stated to him that I wanted to see an oral surgeon (this was my first surgery and I was very nervous to wake up in the middle or feel any pain) He then goes into the waiting room to ask my grandmother instead, saying that I wouldn't be able to feel anything. She had no idea that I had just been awake and denied consent to continue w the procedure.
They put another pill under my tongue and I fall asleep. only to wake up while they are still removing teeth. I am scared and confused. When the surgery is over my boots had been taken off. It was a traumatizing experience that left me w a partially fractured jaw which was diagnosed by a specialist approx 3 months after. To this day I experience regular pain in my jaw and increased anxiety @ the dentist.
This was a long time ago and people grown and change w time. This is something I have thought about being open about for a long time but have not due to anxiety. I think about this experience at least once a day because I still experience jaw pain whenever I yawn or eat crunchy foods, even if I had to open my mouth wide to bite into something. I had a bad experience with you Dr and I hope that in the future you will respect your patients wishes- no matter their age.
I want you to know because I don't want anybody else to experience this. I don't feel that you had negative intentions but need you to understand this experience had been deeply traumatizing both mentally and physically. Thank you for your time-I wish for you abundance.

Was in for my 6 month teeth cleaning yesterday. As usual, Sarah was wonderful, and my teeth are clean and looking good. It is always a pleasure to be so well taken care of. Whatever your dental needs may be, you can rest assured that you will be given the best that modern dentistry can offer by the caring, professional dental staff at Studeris Dentistry. Was in today to have a temporary crown replaced.
The care I received was the usual first class care I have been fortunate to receive EVERY time I have visited Studeris Dentistry. Carly was exceptional and Dr. Scott was the usual consummate pro. Life is good. Patient for life.

Very competent and consistent staff. Bree always does a great job of cleaning my teeth and truly cares about my long term oral health. She also gives me valuable cleaning tips. Dr Studerus always checks in to see how I'm doing.great guy. Tiffany shared a really cool inexpensive dental plan offered by their practice. Great alternative to expensive traditional third party payer insurance. Im highly considering it.

Both Dr. Studerus and Dr. Whalen seem to be adequate dentists. Their billing department and practices are not. I had a crown and two filling done in November and on the way out the door i was informed my portion was $961. I thought that sounded a little high but i paid the total amount. Several months later I went back in for a tooth that was giving me trouble.
I had an exam and was referred to an endodontist for a possible root canal. On my out of the office i was informed I owed nothing for the exam because I had a credit on my account. I didn't think much of it at the time. The endodontist exam revealed the tooth was not savable and I would need it extracted. I called Dr. Studerus's office to schedule an appointment.
Toward the end of my conversation I mentioned the fact I was told of credit on my account last time I was in and I was curious how much and why did I have a credit. The answer was I had $330 on credit and it was due to the fact my insurance had paid more than expected on my crown and fillings last November. I was flabbergasted. I was overcharged $330 and never received anything in writing or an invoice from their office.
Apparently their method of informing you of an overcharge is to wait until the next time you come in to the office and tell you. What if I never came back? What if I die? Where does that money go? Those questions were not received well by. the billing lady I talked with. She told me it's my money and she can mail me a check if that's what i want. Yes! that's what I want.
She didn't even ask me if I wanted to schedule my extraction after that. I'm pretty sure she wanted to see me about as much as I wanted to see their office again. Which is never. I got my check about a month later. Yes some of this could be attributed to myself not keeping track of my EOB statement's from my dental insurance. How many other dentists do I have a credit with? This billing process of "guessing" how much a patient owes out of pocket is borderline criminal. I'm have a new dentist and now I pay after my insurance pays.

I have a severely handicapped sister whom we brought to Dr Studerus's office for a consultation/first time appointment today. My sister is extremely stubborn and not helpful in anyway when it comes to having dental work done (just brushing her teeth is a hard struggle). Dr Studerus is phenomenal! He is very understanding, easy to communicate with and his staff are top-notch! Dr Studerus was able to very quickly come up with a treatment plan that made sense and included him seeing my sister on a day he was suppose to be off work.
I have never had such an overwhelming sense of ease and understanding when it comes to anything medical and a doctor trying to explain "the plan". I absolutely recommend Dr Studerus for anyone, I plan on switching dentists also!

The dentists are awesome, thorough and very competent. I was initially very pleased when I was needed a crown. I asked for my out of pocket costs and they gave those to the penny without ever blinking an eye that anything could be different from those figures. I had the procedure and was again very pleased until a supplemental bill came in for double the cost.
Originally I was quoted and paid my full balance at treatment and then was billed an additional $460 for what they said my insurance didn't cover. They went into all kinds of excuses that what I had been presented in the office was an estimate and that there was fine print at the bottom that said those figures could change when I contested the charges.
I clarified my out of pocket expenses more than three times with the dentist and then the office administrator prior to booking my procedure. Once the bill came, they made no effort to adjust their bill and I simply pulled my family out never to return. They are great practitioners but I would never recommend anyone I know to their facility after my experience.
I simply felt shafted. my only recourse is to provide a less than favorable review. They deal with insurance companies all the time, they are the experts in the field and I simply followed their lead with my money going right into their pockets. Incredibly disappointed and frankly disgusted that they were not more up front with me when I had the chance to look into other providers costs. Even if they told me to check with my insurance provider (should have been their job prior to giving me the estimate) I would not be so upset with the situation.

I went to this dentist's office because of pain that resulted from a tooth infection. My face was swollen at that time. The dentist took a bunch of x-rays that I later, in an appointment with another dentist, learned were completely useless. However, my dental plan is now charging me for them. Also, Scott Studerus said that I would have to have my tooth pulled and presented me with the estimate for a dental implant that would included a "bone graft". Detail: it would take one full year to have the treatment concluded and over 2,000 dollars from out-of-pocket payement.
I declined his services and had a root canal done with another (professional and ethical) dentist. Be aware of the good reviews for this dentist. He is only interested in taking your money with no regards to the consequences to his clients' oral health and personal lives.

I'm one of those people who gets the jitters just thinking about going to the dentist. If this sounds familiar, then this is the dentist for you. We have been going here for about 5 yrs now. I love the demeanor of Dr Studerus and the entire staff! They are professional, personable and down-to-earth. They are considerate of each other as well as their patients.
I feel like they are genuinely concerned for my personal well-being and make every effort to see to my needs. The quality of dental care has been awesome. I do not hesitate to give this practice an enthusiastic 5 stars because they've truly earned it!:))

I am a horrible dental patient. I come here because Dr Studerus and ALL of the staff are extremely professional, skilled, kind and make me feel less anxious about the whole thing. I just had an extraction of a very stubborn tooth & I did not have any sedation. The Dr and his assistant were amazing with me, I can't say enough good things!

After leaving my dentist of 20 years. I looked long and hard to find a new one. I was extremely satisfied with everything about this dental office. The front desk was helpful and welcoming. The hygienist was extremely friendly and made clear that my needs were respected. I met Dr. Wayland, the associate dentist, and she was very pleasant, professional and knowledgeable. I will definitely go back to Dr. Studeris' office again.

My husband and I went to see Scott Studerus because it had been, ahem, many years since our last visit to the dentist. There's no good excuse, but I have a lot of anxiety when it's time to see a doctor or dentist. Fortunately, Dr. Studerus is kind, professional, and gentle in his work, and so is his team at the Belfair office. Front desk staff is on top of everything. Hygienists are friendly, gentle, quick, and ALL do BEAUTIFUL work.
Everyone makes us comfortable during our appointments, which I sincerely appreciate. Staff is attentive to our dental needs, and respectful of our budget. Studerus offers lots of services, so I won't need to shop around if I need something else in the future. After more than a year back in the dentist routine with Dr. Studerus, I am writing this review to say how grateful I am to the entire staff for making it so easy for us to stick with it. Thanks.

I saw him twice. Cleaning was incomplete and exam was a glance in my mouth with a mirror. Consequently, I now have to go 4xs a year for periodontial cleaning. Plus, my new dentist found work that needed to be done. Also, if you want your records, you have to pay for them and they never even responded to my new dentist regarding my records. My impression is that he's in it for the bucks and not interested in patients overall oral health. This is the first time I've ever written a review, but feel people should know not to waste their time or money here.
