Dr. Murthy is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine (UPENN), where he was the recipient of the Matthew H. Cryer Award for academic excellence. After completing his Dental Medical Degree, he served in the U.S. Air Force as a Comprehensive General Dentist serving the men and women of the U.S.
We do quality work! We take pride in the personal attention and thorough patient education we provide to our patients and their families. We take pride in our amazing office setting, cleanliness, chic decor, and outstanding customer service. We use state-of-the-art digital X-rays to minimize X-ray exposure and to achieve the highest quality images.
Dr. Murthy and his team are always grateful for the opportunity to give back to the communities who support our practice in a fresh, cooperative way. We have been proud sponsors of the Foundation of Belmont education for the past 5 years, St. Peter School in Cambridge for over a decade, as well as Joey's Park in Belmont, and the Cambridge Little League program and will continue to do so in the coming years.

I just had my braces taken off after two years. Overall great experience. Never had to wait for more than 5 mins, appointments start and end on time. The team is very friendly and professional. When I broke my braces a couple of times they scheduled me in right away, never charged extra. During covid times had to reschedule many times, no problems. Yea, would highly recommend this place.

I am about six months in on my approximate eighteen month journey with Orthodontics of Cambridge. So far, so good! I have no complaints and am optimistic about the remaining months and outcome. After a generous and thorough consultation at Dr. Murthy's office, I was sure his office was who I wanted to work with. Katia, in the office, is always a pleasure to schedule with and Dr. Murthy is a wonderful, extremely knowledgeable professional.
I saw him today for the fifth time and especially appreciated his warmth and receptivity! I am an adult patient of Dr. Murthy. I don't usually write reviews but needed to because Dr. Murthy has quite literally transformed my smile and face! I finally have the confidence I have always wanted. When I first saw Dr Murthy he offered me my chose of traditional braces, lingual braces, or Invisalign. I just finished Invisalign. I am so happy I trusted you with my teeth and I will miss visiting the office. Thank you Dr. Murthy!

Life-changing! For my adult braces journey, no one in Massachusetts is better than Dr. Murthy. I was very nervous about getting braces at 37. I needed to fix my bite and was unhappy with my teeth alignment. But being educated at The University of Pennsylvania, serving as an orthodontist and Captain in the US military, and opening up his own practice gave me confidence in his abilities.
I have been 110% pleased! Katia, who will book your appointments, always makes me smile and is incredibly professional when it comes to her office responsibilities. I would highly recommend this practice. Dr. Murthy is extremely kind and smart. He always answers all my questions and covers and concerns I have. He does a great job of explaining his work and always makes sure I have a pleasant experience here! Moreover, the practice is always clean and feels super welcoming and it's always so easy to get an appointment that works for me! I would 100% recommend this practice to everyone!

Highly recommend this practice. Dr. Murthy is amazingly knowledgeable and on initial consultation provides several treatment options. Full explanation of each step and answers all your questions and concerns. The staff is friendly, this practice really cares about the patients and their long term care. The office is spotless in cleanliness. I've been bringing my child for treatment for over a year. Dr. Murthy and Katia are always there to answer my questions within minutes. Dr. Murthy is easily accessible via his private line for any emergencies or questions. Appointments are easy to set up and Katia does a great job at accommodating requests, fits in perfectly with my busy schedule.

My experience at Orthodontics of Cambridge has been absolutely top-notch in a variety of ways. I have the utmost confidence in Dr. Murthy's impressive expertise and appreciate his affable, engaging demeanor with patients as well as his patience in explaining the orthodontic process whenever I ask. His office manager, Katia, is a model of competency and professionalism, and is always pleasant and responsive when I've interacted with her. Moreover, the office itself is tastefully decorated and immaculate, and quite convenient with its proximity to Fresh Pond and off-street parking. Finally, I am thrilled that my smile has been dramatically transformed. I had a wonderful experience at Orthodontics of Cambridge. The office is always nice and clean, and Katia at the front is very helpful and pleasant. Dr. Murthy is extremely professional and always takes time to explain all the details in advance so you'll know what to expect. I'm an adult patient and I had my braces on for two years, just as Dr. Murthy estimated. Now I love my smile. Very happy with the result! Will definitely recommend!

Dr. Murthy and his team made getting braces as an adult a pleasant experience. I never thought I would say that, but it has actually been a joy going through this experience with them. I always felt confident that Dr. Murthy knew what he was doing, and the front desk staff are friendly, organized, attentive, responsive.which is so important when going through a process that requires many appointments. I highly recommend this practice.
