Dr. Ritter did my root canal earlier this week - I'd heard such terrible stories about root canals that I was terrified to get it done, and I could not believe how painless and easy the whole thing was. She is excellent, I had heard good things outside of these reviews and it's really true. I was back at work later that day and I've only taken two ibuprofen since.
Everything is fine. She went through my crown and the crown was saved - I also have a plastic retainer from invisalign treatment and she even worked to ensure the filling for the root canal fit my retainer so I don't need another one. I completely recommend her both for the root canal but also the precautions they take for COVID.

Dr. Ritter and her staff worked with me with what was a very significant long term infection (that I had been unaware about until one day my face swelled up). She was concerned about making sure that we would get this infection under hand, and if we could save my tooth (as I might have been facing extraction). She is thorough, kind, professional, knowledgable, and between her and her staff it was a great experience.
I cannot express how grateful I was to have had my dentist recommend her. I have regretfully had 3 other root canals in my life (back where I used to live), and Dr. Ritter is by far the best endodontist I have ever had the privilege of having worked on my teeth.

Dr. Ritter and her staff were incredibly professional. I was very anxious about having a root canal as I had one about 15 years ago with a different provider and had a miserable experience. This was the exact opposite with Dr. Ritter. She has state of the art technology and was very through yet efficient. I was in and out in 1.5 hours and that included xrays, consultation, a root canal, and filling.
It was essentially pain free and any of my concerns were immediately addressed in a caring and professional way. This would rank as my number one experience for a dental procedure. My numbing is wearing off now and I am having little to no pain. I highly recommend her and wish that she offered routine dental care!

I traveled to North Carolina from Idaho and found myself in need of emergency dental care. Milltown Family Dentistry referred me to Dr. Ritter and she was able to see me the same day. The doctor and all her staff were friendly, very professional and caring. Dr. Ritter did her best to make me comfortable for my 2(!) root canals and found a fractured tooth my dentist at home had missed.
I am so grateful for her care and the immense pain relief she provided to me. I felt very vulnerable so far from home, but needed not worry about anything once I arrived in her office. Her assistants and front desk staff are equally wonderful.

Hi, my name is Brenda and I worked as a temp at Ritter Endodontics. Wow, what a great experience to witness! Dr. Ritter is professional, very caring and compassionate with her patients and staff, she is comforting and explains in details what the patients treatment plan is, what is going to be done or what needs to be done. Dr. Ritter takes the anxiousness & anxiety out of the whole experience of a root canal treatment and replaces it will calm, quickness with a smile! I would recommend Dr. Ritter to anyone and everyone who requires her specialty!

I had such a wonderful experience at Ritter Endodontics! After hearing people say, "I'd rather get a root canal" when faced with a potentially just as painful alternative, I was devastated when I found out that I myself would need one. I dragged my feet for months, but I decided it was finally time when I found Ritter Endodontics. Seeing all of the 5 star reviews and positive comments about the staff and Dr. Ritter made me feel a little more brave and a little less intimidated.
I was not disappointed when the big day finally arrived. Everyone there was kind, reassuring, and professional, and the office environment was welcoming. The root canal itself was quick and completely painless! I was shocked when it was over, and thought to myself, "That's it?!" I can honestly say that this root canal experience has been more pleasant than any other dental experience I have had, including cleanings and fillings! Now that I have some perspective, I can now genuinely say, "You know what? I REALLY would rather get a root canal (if I get to go to Ritter Endodontics)!"

Never thought I'd see the day when I'd wish I could give six stars. to a dental practice. Dr. Ritter - THANK YOU. Thank you for creating such a safe, warm, non-judgmental and pain free environment. Apparently my first root canal was with a sadist, and so I was understandably a bit nervous about going through the misery again. Under Dr. Ritter's care, though, the procedure was quick, efficient and very patient-focused. Wish I could see her for all of my dental work and not just the scary stuff. Regardless, highly highly recommend this practice. P.s. Nice coffee and free chapstick to boot!

I needed to have a root canal revised that was done many years ago. I have a lifelong fear of Dentists, even after being an OR Tech. for 25 + years. Dr. Ritter was aware of this and did a wonderful job on both visits. Her staff is very professional and respectful. Everything was explained to me including the nitrous therapy I asked for. Her office is state of the art and soothing in nature.
She was patient with my fears and did not rush. I can see why my Dentist- Dr Amy Gadol sends her Patients to Dr. Ritter. I would recommend her to anyone needing Endodontic treatment.

Dr Ritter and her staff provide truly excellent service. Professional, friendly, competent, and easy to work with. IF you need dental work that requires her expertise as an endodontist, I suggest you consider her. the office is fully equipt, and she can do on-site digital CT scans. They are pricy, but neat!

Can't say enough good things about this practice. Have been there multiple times for an issue with one of my molars. They are very patient and gentle. I had no pain at all with my root canal. You can also watch movies on projection glasses while they work on your teeth. Amazing! I have seen Dr. Tawil many times now and I think he is great. I would very highly recommend him and any of his staff.

I tell you, it's been a sad week for my #15 molar. I went to get a root canal on Monday and it couldn't be finished, and I panicked. I was referred to an Endodontist but they did not accept Care Credit (I have no insurance currently.ugh), so I did a bunch of research here on Yelp and cross referenced with the Care Credit site to make sure I could go to whomever I chose.
After reading the reviews here (I'm not going to lie. I trust you guys a LOT), I cross-referenced on the CC site and sure enough, I was in the clear to make an appointment. In fact, I called this morning. In fact, there was an appointment open today. Serendipitous? Mayhaps. It was smooth sailing from the time I got off the phone to getting through the procedure. Electronically filling out your patient info is great, and just verifying when you get to the office? Perfect. Evelyn, Dr. Ritter's Dental Assistant, was so kind and really made me feel relaxed.
She was super sweet and patted me on the shoulder during the beginning of the procedure (you know, during the scary horrible "GIANT NEEDLE IN YOUR FACE FOR NUMBING" part) and it was nice. Dr. Ritter was great and really the whole thing went great. I felt taken care of. That's important to me. I wasn't just a dollar sign. I was a person with weird mouth pain and serious neurosis regarding dentistry, and everyone was soothing, caring, and exceptionally helpful.
Between you and me, I hope I never have to go here again (even with the meds, root canals are a huge pain and anyone who uses the phrase "I'd rather get a root canal" than do something, needs to re-evaluate that phrasing!), but should I require another root canal, or anything else that requires an endodontist, I definitely will.

Hello, technology! I filled out my annoying paperwork for Ritter Endodontics :before: I went in for my appointment. They emailed me a secure login and I completed their forms online and submitted everything in advance. So on the day I was scheduled, all I had to do was sign off on a few things -- and even :that: was done online. like digitally signing your credit card receipt.
So cool. And a great time-saver all around! Dr. Ritter's offices are so nice. They're located on the first floor of a big office building, but feel like a home away from home once you're inside the cozy lobby. They've got tea and coffee set out, the news on TV, and different magazines to choose from. But the setting is so chic, I forgot for a moment that I wasn't waiting on a spa treatment -- instead, a root canal consult!
Be prepared for a mini photo-shoot as a new patient, since they like to keep a picture on file. I really love the staff here. from the helpful, smiley front desk to the considerate dental assistant to the good doctor herself (check out my separate review for Alessandra Ritter). Thumbs up from me should you find yourself in need of endodontic work.

If you're in the unfortunate position of needing a root canal, then visit Dr. Ritter. My dentist discovered I needed a root canal and referred me to a different endodontist, but due to lack of scheduling options I looked online and, with not much information to go on, I gave Dr. Ritter's office a call. I was able to get a consultation appointment the next day and had the procedure done soon after.
Her office is impressive -- with modern equipment and friendly staff. Dr. Ritter did an excellent job and saved the crown that covered the tooth that needed the root canal. The tooth healed in time for me to go on vacation a month after. She'll also schedules free follow up appointments for as long as necessary to assure a full recovery. I had about 4 follow-up appointments due to the amount of healing that was necessary. I'm happy to report that my tooth is now perfectly fine!
