Dr. Gilbert was an amazing dentist and his team is/was so fabulous. Centre Square does not deserve to inherit his 5 star rating, that's for certain! This corporation he sold to is running it into the ground. The office manager / front desk woman (short dark hair) is beyond rude in person, yelling and berating clients in front of staff and other patrons, she'll hang up the phone on you too!
Never once when it was Gilbert Dental did I have anything but a positive and pleasant experience. Now unfortunately that's the only good part of this firm, is that my dental hygienist, Mari is still there. After going to Gilbert Dental for 10 years, it only took 1 trip to Centre Square Dental to convince me that I will no longer be returning. Very sad.

I've been with Gilbert Dental for many many years and I've always loved the staff and Dr. Gilbert. So happy most of the staff is still there through this transition. The service was excellent as always. However I was a little taken aback by the $20 fee I was expected to pay for the staff's PPE equipment. I was told this as I was checking out. When I asked why I had to pay for their equipment I was told it's because my insurance doesn't cover it.
Why is that not covered under the organizations insurance? And I have to go back in a couple of weeks for a follow up procedure and was told I would have to pay that $20 fee again. It just doesn't seem right that they're taking that fee from every single client who comes in every single day and then have to pay that out of their pocket.

Gilbert Dental Care was my dental home from the early 1980's until this year. I recently asked for my records and left the practice. The office and policies have changed dramatically, and this is a ship that appears to be going down. Dr. Gilbert and his staff were professional, caring and very experienced. A dental corporate entity, Elite Dental, bought the practice, and it's now night and day from how it was run by Dr. Gilbert.
Unfortunately Dr. Gilbert left the practice during the pandemic, and Elite Dental hired a young, inexperienced doctor just a few years out of dental school. She is the only dentist in the practice to handle a large, and decades-long (sophisticated and cared for) patient base and has very little broad-based experience. I had almost $15,000 of cosmetic and restorative work done by Dr. Gilbert the year before he left.
I was told by Dr. Gilbert and his management/staff (as always) that my dental work would have a five-year warranty and if an issue arose, make an appointment and my problem would be fixed. After Dr. Gilbert left the practice, I inquired about my continuous care, but the office manager (she recently left, as did another front desk employee) and told me I had to speak to the Elite Dental regional manager. Jason, the regional manager, could not answer any of my questions adequately about office policies or my care, and had a haughty and insulting attitude, not one aimed towards resolution, or retaining me as a patient.
When I spoke to him again, he told me that with my very costly dental work, "adjustments" would NOT be covered or provided at no additional cost, because I had "nothing in writing" from Dr. Gilbert and the practice. Gilbert Dental Care's office policy always put the patient and patient care, first. The practice's sole dentist has zero cosmetic experience by her own admission, and sadly noted by my few experiences with her.
I had to get a new night guard (to the tune of over $800) and the dentist didn't fit it properly causing me to return for a few more visits, only to have the practice order me another night guard, at their cost. Caren, the experienced EFDA (dental assistant) fitted it correctly. I love the practice's support staff who I have grown to depend on and trust over many decades.
But I was uncomfortable having my care provided by an experienced dentist, along with the tone-deaf, off-site dental corporate entity running a now soul-less practice. My trust was breached.

Dr. Gilbert was an amazing dentist, his people were all great and they were very courteous. Unfortunately the company that he sold his practice to is completely unorganized and the practice is going down hill. I never got billed not once as they collected from my insurance carrier. Now the company forgets appointments, harasses for bill pay and hangs up the phone on its clients.
Certainly not the type of practice anyone wants to work with. This went from a private dental office and got into the hands of a corporate run mess of a practice. I suggest seeking a more boutique office that cares for its patients.

I have been Dr Gilbert's patient for at least 25 years. I have never had a negative experience, I have always been treated with respect and recieved excellent dental care. The staff is so friendly and encouraging I enjoy seeing them just as friends, aside from the great care they give my teeth. I can without reservation recommend Gibert Dental for both the quality dental care and as an example of how patients should be treated across all medical fields.

The office is always accommodating. I scheduled an 8am emergency visit for a loose cap. Cathy had already briefed Karen on my previous care so the Team was ready to go when I arrived. Everyone was friendly and professional. I trust the care and expertise in this office. I was in and out and made it to work on time!

I've been going to Dr. Gilbert for over a year after not seeing a Dentist the prior 5 years. I had thousands of dollars in damage that I am still working towards, and everyone in the office has been nothing short of incredible helping me through the process. They are very flexible with my schedule as well as working with me on payments. Can't recommend enough!

Dr. Gilbert and his Team are the best Dental Engineer's on the planet! I've been going there for over 27 years and now my children will be the third generation being cared for by Dr. Gilbert and the Team. Specifically, Carmen was the best hygienist and friend you could ever look forward to seeing every 6 months. Each visit felt like it was seeing them the day before . Very family oriented and caring. You won't be disappointed.
