Dr. Brisman's staff members are helpful, gracious, and accommodating. His team is merely an extension of Dr. Brisman's very nature. He is also beyond professional, knowledgeable, and considerate. He has a way of calming you and explaining the issue at hand, options and results. He is also a sleuth at unearthing a new patient's past issues and has a knack as a problem-solver. I used to ALWAYS dread dental work, but I'm more at ease with Dr. Brisman.

I've been seeing Dr. Brisman for many years. He has taken magnificent care of my teeth. The cleaning done by Lali is superb and all the procedures I've had including caps, having a tooth pulled and a night guard he made for mehave turned out very well. I'm very happy to be a patient of Dr. Brisman. The staff is superb, caring and professional. I highly recommend him.

Brisman's office was super easy to schedule, pre-checked my insurance, prepared upon my arrival with such a friendly reception. My hygienist Laura was very efficient and helpful when offering suggestions. Dr. Brisman is super friendly and I would highly recommend this practice!

As a physician I hesitate to write negative reviews about other providers. I understand the challenges that we face as health care shifts towards a more service oriented field and the pressures of insurance/billing and etc. That being said, this was the most horrible overall dental experience of my life. I don't say that lightly. Dr. Brisman was kind and answered all of my questions, however I ultimately ended up with two teeth that were unnecessarily shaved down (per my long-time family dentist who was APPALLED), a perforated sinus that required a sinus lift and multiple days of horrible pain without ever being offered adequate pain relief.

In hindsight, I truly, truly, regret booking with Dr. Brisman. Utilize any recommendations that your primary dentist may have before pursuing treatment here. I don't believe he had malintent, but as I sit here recovering in pain from a procedure I was NOT appropriately counseled for, I feel morally obliged to share my experience here.

I came to Dr Brisman's office and team late in the game after most of my life without a dentist relying on emergency room repairs. Despite my best efforts to remain in my fear and deep seeded insecurity Dr Brisman and Lolly and Emma really made me feel comfortable and (gasp) excited to visit and get my mouth healthy. The office is always very clean yet still homey, comfortable.

I really value Dr Brisman's direct and professional care peppered with the occassional personal anecdotes. He always explains what he is about to do what I might experience and then after explains what he did and what is next; I always feel informed and clear about what is happening. Over these years he and his team have earned my respect, faith, and deep gratitude.

Dr Brisman is kind cool and professional, as is the office staff. I ended up saving money with a less expensive, simpler procedure than I was told I needed by another dentist. Very grateful.

I recently started visiting Dr. Brisman's office and have been consistently impressed with their professional skill and the concern for the comfort and safety of their patients. They were very helpful in scheduling an emergency extraction when the agony my toothache was intolerable and provided follow-up, as well as the usual recurring dental services, efficiently and considerately.

I encountered no billing complications thanks to the astute account manager who was familiar with my health insurance parameters and informed me of a logical treatment plan in which there would be no personal expenses. I recommend Dr. Brisman and his office staff with no reservations.

I visited the office for my regular cleaning. Because of COVID my temperature was taken before I could proceed with my cleaning. Proper precautions are taken as everyone was masked and working behind plastic shields. The cleaning was thorough and expertly done by the hygienist. I have been coming to Dr. Brisman's office for the past 23+ years and recommend him to anyone in need of an excellent periodontist.

I can not recommend this dentist enough. I have referred two friends here and everyone is happy about the service they received. Dr. Brisman and his team has experience and have your best interest in their recommendations for patients.

I have always been deathly afraid of the dentist (and still am), but the atmosphere is very inviting and calm. The location is cleanly and staff is friendly. I am serviced by Lali M. every time, and I am completely satisfied. She has truly turned the state of my teeth to be healthier and taught proper brushing/health techniques. Bedside manner is great. She's motherly when she sees you aren't taking care of your dental health, but it comes from a place of love and passion. I love Lali and would recommend her to anyone.

Simply the best dental practice I've ever been to. I've had a consistently good experience here for many years now. The staff is top notch, competent and kind, and the location is right by mamoun's falafel and ben's pizza so you already know where to go afterwards.

Wonderful dentist. Has been my family dentist for decades. Even though we have moved out of NYC, I still schlep into Manhattan to see him because he's so dependable and skilled, and he has excellent dental hygienist assisting him.

I've been seeing DR B for over 15 years. I am a true dental scardy cat! There is no one like dr B and his staff. No one! They are respectful, kind and un judgemental! Very important to a gal like me who should always be taking better care of her teeth!

Best dentist I've ever had! I was very nervous but Dr Brisman calmed me down and talked me through the entire procedure which helped a lot. I am telling all my friends to go see him.

As always, for at least the past ten years, I've enjoyed remarkable, all-but-flawless, reliable and actually soothing high-quality service that's not only consistently professional, but also extremely friendly & personable. Cannot recommend or compliment Dr. Brisman and his entire staff highly enough.

My fiance went to the doctor because her bridge snapped 2 weeks before our wedding. He took her in, and gave her unnecessary xrays (she's been to him before so he already had her xrays), only to tell her he couldn't do anything before the wedding because he was going on vacation. When she asked what else she could do, he said "nothing". That was it. We paid $300 for him to tell us he couldn't do anything.

Dr. Brisman is terrific. He's compassionate and knows how to put his patients at ease. I have confidence in his recommendations and abilities. I highly recommend him. He has his own insurance plan available for discounts.

Dr. Brisman was a very cool guy, but for cleanings and routine stuff you don't deal with him. For my 1st apt I waited over 45 mins for my apt. The hygienist was crazy rough. I actually LIKE a thorough cleaning vs delicate, but she was a bit nuts. Got home and was shocked to see some bonding on my front tooth chipped off where they scrape for plaque.

I go back but they aren't enthusiastic about fixing it, saying it was already 6 years and bonding only lasts a few years. Um, I had bonding successfully for 17 years w/no problem! Then I had it redone from tea staining. If the hygienist was normal, I'd say ah well, stuff happens. But she was insanely torquing on my teeth and rough. This was her fault 100%.

I had to really plead with Dr. Brisman to just slap on a touch of bonding to fix it, he did, and it came off w/in days. They refused to help me further. I'm now told I'd have to start all over w/new bonding which costs over $200 and isn't covered under insurance. Thanks a lot. Find a dentist in your plan in Brooklyn. All Dr's are SO much more sane, normal, nice, great, and don't have crap staff, or union admin staff that couldn't care less about your or their jobs.

Dr. Brisman is very personable and competent. I've only ever had cleanings here but all the staff is top notch. My wife gets dental work here regularly and according to her he's the best dentist she's ever had. Highly recommended.

I have been struggling to find doctors in NYC, as I am new to the area. Found Dr. Brisman on zocdoc, and the reviews were great so I thought I would give him a shot. Went in for 3 fillings, nothing major. He was polite and professional, BUT when he got to work, he completed everything (including the numbing portion) in 25 minutes. I am not a dentist, but I have had many fillings before, and 25 minutes for 3 fillings indicates that careful attention is not being paid.

Red flag - I immediately knew that I was going to have issues down the road. It has been 2.5 months, and one of the fillings is already coming out. I will need to see someone else to get this corrected. I have never written a yelp review before, but I hope that this will help other people who are looking for a new dentist. Look elsewhere!

I went to Dr. Brisman's office today for a cleaning on a referral from a friend. Lali the hygienist did my cleaning and took my x-rays. I didn't plan for the x-rays but since I have new insurance and everything would be covered, why not! The cleaning was thorough and painless. Fortunately, I have pretty good teeth and just got told I have to floss more (blah!).

I also didn't have any cavities so I can't judge on other work, but Dr. Brisman was very personable and friendly and Lali was a gem. What a character! My new office is in the area so I'm glad I found a dentist within walking distance that I can keep going to. It also wasn't too hard to get an appointment for the cleaning - maybe 3 weeks' wait? The office staff also seemed very nice which is definitely a huge plus in this town.

The office is clean and the people Have all been professional, polite and friendly. Looking forward To my next dental appointment.

Dr. Brisman has been my dentist for the past 12 years. I will happily say I've never had a cavity or had to have gum surgery since going to him on a regular (every 3 months) basis. As someone who has had 5 periodontist surgeries prior to him, I think he and his team are geniuses. I can't say enough- change dentists now and start going to Dr. Brisman!

Dr. Brisman is terrific. Very professional and caring. He spent time going over my X-rays and explaining what the problem was and what needed to be done but offered different options. He didn't immediately jump to something very expensive which I have experienced before with other dentists. His staff are wonderful too. Emma was so helpful in getting me an appointment at very short notice. Dr. Brisman was recommended to me by a friend and I and will certainly be recommending him to all my other friends and colleagues.

The Brisman dental dynasty has been treating my family for four generations. David Brisman is a great dentist, his brother is a well-known oral surgeon, and (more important) the Brismans are decent people who care about their patients. They also clearly care about their staff and who they hire to do most of the interaction with patients. Many of their employees have been there for years. Lali is fast and thorough and also the most fun person to chat with (and she knows not to ask questions while you're getting your cleaning). Emma at the front desk is lovely and very helpful about insurance and billing. I completely recommend this practice. J.M. -- NYC

Great experience. I had a tooth knocked out on a Saturday and Dr Brisman was able to fit in an appointment on Monday. Very clean professional experience. Would have no problem referring a friend to this office

Let me say that the staff, meaning the receptionist who answers the phone "emma" is very nice and professional. However, I cannot say the same for Dr. Brisman. Over a year ago I went to his office to get lots of work done. He did not conduct the proper xrays and resulted in putting a crown, which fell off within two days of insertion. I ended up going back and having it replaced (made out of metal, yuck) in which until this day feels sensitive, food gets stuck, and has severe dischage of blood.

What can I say? Its what he does. My other concern is that he "planned" on putting crown on my teeth in which I ended up getting a surgical procedure for. Im glad I never went back. He did me a HUGE favor by not having any date and time available to treat me. Bad dentist, very bad.

I really like Dr. Brisman. he has a gentle, caring demeanor and is a consummate professional. I haven't had any major work but recently had an emergency visit that went very well. I find the staff extremely helpful, especially in the way of wading through the mire of insurance matters. Emma has always been awesome! Lali is the BEST periodontist ever! She was super gentle when I had to have major scaling done, and she always makes me smile (no pun intended). HIGHLY recommended!

Two of my friends recommended Dr. Brisman to me and I have been to a lot of dentists before and only experience TWO that has rubbed me the wrong way. All the dentists I have gone to in the past are not trying to con your insurance or you out of more money. I have gotten a crown replaced without any out of pocket fees from my other dentist out in QUEENS. Yes, I have a crown and after coming to see him, I learned I need another one.

My damn piercing keeps chipping my molars. WTF - UGHHHHHHHHHHHH But here, I would have to pay an out of pocket fee of 500 dollars and all these unnecessary x-rays. WTF! Before learning all this information, I had gotten my teeth cleaned as well. I had Lally before and never had Irene, so I decided to give Irene a whirl. So Irene, the Hygienist, who I believe is a Orthodox Jew opening told me she wasn't judging me by my piercing but advised that it's not good for my gums. Ummm I mean I had this piercing for like ten years now and no one ever told me this.

I always thought the inner part of my mouth - the gum area was caused by my heavy handedness. I never made the connection between my piercing messing up my gums. DUH! So after that, I retired my piercing and now perhaps I won't have a mouth filled with crowns and messed up inner gums. So bonus points for Irene for advising this to me, even though she lacked in the personality department. I would ONLY come here for cleaning but no major work.
