I've gone to Dr. Chung and the Softouch team for years, and I've had lots of work done over that time. I particularly remember Dr. Chung being willing to work on our college age son in short order in time for him to go overseas (pre-COVID), and working with me on new kinds of flouride since I have a SERIOUS gag reflex. They always have the latest tech and it is like a SPA experience. Super professional, but we've developed relationships over the years. A great place for top-notch services.

Dr. Chung and Melissa are hands down the best in the DC Metropolitan area. I had three other dentists who were nice, but did poor work. When I addressed my concerns about jaw pain and headaches with Dr. Chung he treated me immediately and corrected my issues. I have been seeing him for a decade now and have zero pain. Dr. Chung is the best, he has cared for me for over 15 years. He is always available. He has been attentive and taken care of all my issues before they were painful or bad. I went here for a second opinion after a bad experience with a dental implant at another oral surgeon. I was in terrible pain and the site was badly infected. I told him that the other oral surgeon had unexpectedly used a hammer and nails to try to hold in the bone that was added to my jaw. I told Dr. Chung that it had been a terrifying and painful experience.

His response was to say that it was "so cool" that the doctor had used a hammer and nails. I left, the pain in my right ear and jaw continued for weeks more, and I wound up with permanent tinnitus in my right ear. I did not feel as though Dr. Chung cared about me as a human being in pain at all. After all I went through, the bone added all fell out and I have a missing tooth.

If you're anything like me, you'll avoid going to dentist for as long as possible. And, of course, the longer you avoid going to the dentist the more you really should be going. I was caught in a vicious cycle of fear until I finally called up Softouch. They have been fantastic! Helping me through some major dental disasters and being supportive and reassuring the entire time. I've needed many of the calming services they provide, which have really helped make the process easier. I'm proud to say that I'm so much better off than I was when I started seeing them, and I am much more at ease every visit.

It helps that the staff is wonderful and friendly- I want to see them as much as I want to get the dentist appointment over and done with. : I highly recommend Softouch if you have been putting off making your regular appointments!

Dr. Chung is a wonderful neuromuscular dentist. I was suffering from daily migraines, and he got rid of them by fixing my TMJ problem. He has done great things for my family and their smiles :!

The entire dental staff are remarkably gracious, friendly, and competent. I have prayed that one day I will be able to afford the care I need; and, when I can, I would love to have it done by Dr. Chung and his staff.

I have been Dr. Chung's patient since he opened his practice at the Oakton location. Over the years, Dr. Chung has replaced, when needed, my gold crowns and amalgam fillings acquired in my youth with bonded ceramic overlays. The process was painless as Dr. Chung thoroughly numbed all sensitive areas. On one occasion, he ordered and installed a replacement crown at no cost to me because I thought the tooth felt "odd".

To date, none of my ceramicly repaired teeth have required any further dental work. Another example of Dr. Chung's patient-oriented service is when one of my old gold crowns fell out just prior to my leaving on an overseas vacation. There wasn't time to order a replacement so he installed a temporary crown, cementing it in such a way that it wouldn't come out even though it would make it more difficult for him to remove it on my return.

He even gave me packets of cement to use in case it did come loose (it didn't). I highly recommend Dr. Chung and his staff since they do have a "softouch" and do very high quality work.

I have had bad experiences with dentists my whole life. When I moved to Northern Virginia, I knew I wanted to take time to research and find a good dentist. I saw Softouch Dental Care's ad in a Washingtonian Magazine. I figured I would give it a shot and check it out. I called for an appointment and was greeted on the phone by a happy, upbeat voice, named Melissa.

She scheduled me for an appointment within the week. When I arrived for my first appointment, I felt like I had walked into a spa. My fears of being in a dentist office had left me. I was elated after my first appointment that I had finally found a dentist that made me feel comfortable and actually cared. After having some way overdo dental work done with Dr. Chung, he called me that evening to make sure my mouth was feeling OK.

I don't think I have ever had a Dr. call me to see how I was feeling. I was very impressed! I have now been going to Dr. Chung for 4 years. I cannot express how pleased I am with his practice. The friendliness, cleanliness and professionalism of the practice beat any dentistry I have been to in the past. I would definitely recommend Softouch Dental Care's services.
