The University of North Carolina Dental School is consistently ranked in the Top 5 of dental schools in the United States. The Dental Foundation provides annual support to the school of more than $2 million in scholarships, fellowships, professorships and program support. Dr. Bishop is on the scholarship committee and a part of the Chancellor's Circle of giving.
At Jessica Bishop, DDS, PA we know we can't change the world, but we try to change our little corner of it. Digital dental x-rays not only offer 80% less radiation exposure to the patient, they are also extremely "green" because there are no chemical wastes nor disposable film materials. We also have the ability to email x-rays for referrals and transfers, thus eliminating paper waste. Our patient identification system consists solely of digital charts. This has eliminated paper waste in our office.
Our team works hard to provide your dental treatment in a comfortable, relaxed and welcoming environment. We spend time educating you about your specific dental needs and what options are available to you. It is important to us that you understand the full scope of your dental condition and select treatment that is most appropriate for you.
Our dental hygienists provide comfortable and thorough dental cleanings to each and every patient. Regular preventative dental visits are a necessary part of maintaining good oral health. We recommend at least two dental cleanings per year for optimal oral and overall health. Dr. Bishop completes a dental exam that includes an oral cancer screening, a periodontal assessment and a detailed tooth by tooth documentation.

This was my first visit to Dr. Bishop's practice and I could not be more pleased. I was received on time and went through a very comprehensive oral evaluation in which I was informed during every step of the procedure. This was both comforting and satisfying to know exactly what was going on regarding my dental health. A treatment plan was devised and explained in detail for my approval.
After this part of the visit I proceeded to have a teeth cleaning and a dental hygiene review that put me at ease as well as reinforced the home procedures I should be following. The supporting staff that I also had the pleasure of meeting treated me and the other patients with respect, patience and sincerity. This was truly painless dentistry in all respects. I would highly recommend Dr. Jessica L Bishop's practice to anyone who values high quality in all respects when it comes to dental services.

Dr. Bishop and the phenomenal women on her team are the only people I would trust with my teeth. They are thorough, give excellent oral hygiene advice, and most importantly, are truly wonderful human beings. I love going to the dentist and catching up with the whole staff who have become like extended family.

After having terrible (and painful) experiences at other dentist offices, I was referred by a friend to Jessica Bishop's office, and had a wonderful experience! They were so caring and kind, and took the time to really get to know me and my concerns for my dental health. The Technician was very patient and gentle during my cleaning. Dr. Bishop was very thorough in her evaluation and explained everything about the care I needed in great detail.
I truly felt like I was in safe hands and my health was their priority. I highly recommend Dr. Bishop and her team if you are in search of a new dentist or in need of a second opinion. You will receive top notch care with them!

Highly recommended and experienced Dr. Bishop and her amazing team offer: the highest of credentials and skills; the most professional, efficient and patient scheduling and other procedural systems and; MOST importantly, they demonstrate a genuine and heartfelt caring for each and every one of their patients.
Bottom line - they are so extremely beyond 5 stars in every category and they actually make it FUN to go to the dentist --- NOW - who ever has fun going to the dentist!?! Entire staff was super friendly, I could tell longer term patients were almost like extended family. This is exactly what I was hoping to find when looking for a dental office. Dr Bishop spent time getting to know me. After the exam she prioritized things needing work and provided cost estimates. Great experience!

On my first visit, I knew that this dental practice was the place for my family. Every person we encountered here was professional and congenial. Dr. Bishop explains her procedures and decisions clearly and solicits patient input. Her staff are well-trained professionals who clearly take pride in their work. Most telling - the office is happy! The ambience here is both welcoming and reassuring. I am very grateful to have found this practice and look forward to a long association with Dr. Bishop's dental practice.

Dr. Bishop and her staff are both caring and professional. I'm 75 years old, and she's one of the two best dentists I've ever had. She will explain everything thoroughly, keep you comfortable, and work dexterously and effectively. She's punctual and efficient, and her staff support her in the same manner. I'm glad she was recommended to us.

As odd as this sounds, I actually enjoy my visits to Dr. Bishop's office. I would almost say that they're fun! Or maybe they are really fun. My hygienist is friendly, professional and thorough. She always is encouraging about my dental care routines and provides tips for improving my practices. She does it in a way that's so positive, and I always leave my appointment feeling great about what I'm doing.
Beyond that, we talk about a variety of topics, and on this most recent appointment, talked about Covid prevention and winter health in general. We have a great exchange of ideas, and I feel like I'm talking to a friend. Dr. Bishop is awesome, always answers all of my questions, and remembers the funniest details I've told her about my family. I feel that I'm receiving excellent dental care in a pleasant environment.
