Dr. Adley and staff took wonderful care of my boy Frank yesterday. He needed a root canal due to a broken tooth, a procedure the general practice I work for does not perform. While it was hard not being with him for the procedure, Dr. Adley kept me informed and Frank was a happy boy when I picked him up. Thank you to everyone that helped with and loved on my boy!

We went to see Dr. Luskin because my Belgian Malinois broke one of his teeth. This was still during COVID so we had to call when we arrived. Because of traffic, we were 15 min late, but the office was totally fine with that. When I called in, they picked up promptly, and promptly sent out a tech to bring in my dog. Since he's a Malinois, they were very good about allowing me to walk the dog into the office.

I then went to wait in the truck, and about 15 min later, Dr. Luskin came out. He asked if I could go in to help with opening my dog's mouth because he's a Malinois. He said my dog was doing well and seemed to befriend his tech, but he just "didn't trust his eyes!" Haha! Smart doctor. I went in and helped keep my dog's mouth open. The doctor said that we were lucky that the break didn't hit the root, and Dr. Luskin gave me plenty of advice on how to keep my dog's teeth healthy.

He also said that there's really not much he could do at this point, but for me to monitor the situation. He did say removal was an option, but that it would require surgery (it was one of his incisors), and he was reluctant to do that because of how important the tooth is to the dog AND how much surgery it would require. Dr. Luskin then said, there's no charge today because there's not much more I can do at this point.

I was so deeply appreciative! Everyone was super professional and really wanted to make the best decision for the dog. Super thankful to have gone to see Dr. Luskin and his team! We will definitely return if needed (but hopefully not)!

My little Yorkie had been to another vet for a teeth cleaning. She almost died under anesthesia twice during the procedure. Her teeth were in terrible shape after we were told for years they were fine by another veterinary practice. We decided to take her to the experts. Kendall was able to get us a consult appointment much quicker than we expected. Dr. Luskin examined her and determined that all but, 4 of her teeth needed to be removed and with her very small size (3 lbs.) it would be a long and difficult procedure.

He explained everything to us personally. About 2 weeks later Dr. Luskin performed this procedure. Everything went exactly as he described! After the long surgery was finished and we came to pick up our baby, Kendall gave us very detailed instructions for her care for the next 2 weeks. They followed up twice by phone to check on her. What a Godsend the ADC was for us.

I believe they saved our baby's life! Her teeth were so bad they very well could have caused severe issues that could have led to her death. She's now doing wonderful. She is back to eating again and living a happy and healthy life and we owe it all to Dr. Luskin and his staff. I will never take any of my pups anywhere else for dental work or issues no matter what. Thank you so very much ADC. I couldn't give them a higher recommendation! 10 stars wouldn't be enough.

I was referred to animal dental center for my dog after a biopsy of a lump in my dog's jaw was inconclusive. They provided an estimate and came in on the very low end of the range. They found many things my normal vet missed in their cleaning, such that I won't trust further dental care to anyone but this center. Dr. Kim was extremely thorough in her explanation of my dog's situation and potential outcomes.

She showed genuine concern for the welfare of my pet. After I received news of my pet's cancer diagnosis, she was incredibly frank, but gave grounded reason for optimism given my pet's particular situation. She acted as if the pet were her own in advising a path forward, and she showed compassion to me given the nature of the news. I can not speak highly enough of Dr. Kim.

My cat had to have all of his teeth removed. We we're referred to ADC by our vet. Everyone is just so kind, and compassionate. They are all so personal and helpful. I absolutely could not have had a better experience. Very highly recommend ADC!

Absolutely outstanding care from all the doctors and their assistants at Animal Dental Center. Especially Dr. Luskin, we cannot thank you enough for taking care of our dog and getting her back to felling better. Also, his daily phone calls to check in days after surgery, truly meant a lot. Our experience with the clinic allows me to HIGHLY RECOMMEND them to anyone!

I cannot thank this team enough. They changed my cats life and I couldn't be happier. My senior cat had 9 teeth extracted by them a few weeks ago. She has healed beautifully, as expected I could tell she did have some discomfort for the next few days but they made sure she would be comfortable for those days. She ended up sleeping most of her recovery time Since she has healed she has become the most loving and affectionate cat, she has really come out of her shell.

She normally stays to herself and comes around when she wants but now everyday she's curled up next to my feet and has even laid on top of me which I never thought would happen in a million years considering her past. Thanks to this team my Jazzy girl has become much more boisterous and chatty and just overall a very happy cat since having those teeth removed. Edit: tonight I bought her a feather rope toy stick and she not only played with it but she bit it and held onto it! I cannot thank this team enough! Highly recommend for any fur baby experience dental pain and issues.

Wow. Our cat is currently recovering from yesterday's dental surgery. She had all of her back teeth removed and a hole repaired where she recently lost her upper left canine. From the first contact, this place is amazing. Kendall, the receptionist, was consistently professional, informative, compassionate and friendly. I was very nervous about making the appointment and Kendall made the process very easy.

When I phoned back with questions before the appointment, Kendall addressed those questions with knowledge and compassion. This location has COVID-19 infection prevention and control measures in place. I didn't get the names of the techs who came out to assist us in checking in and taking our cat inside, but they were both friendly, professional, listened well and understood our concerns.

We found the infection prevention and control to be appropriate, reasonable and safe. Dr. Hutt assessed our cat and came out to discuss the plans. Dr. Hutt explained everything clearly (I was able to understand and follow well) and addresses all our questions and offer additional information which made us very secure with his skill and knowledge. Our cat is older and there were some concerns about her heart's ability to tolerate the anesthesia. Dr. Hutt and staff worked with staff at CVCA (housed in the same building) to get our cat to see them for an assessment to determine if proceeding with surgery was safe.

We really appreciated this co-operation and that they facilitated arranging payment as well as this was one less thing for us to worry about. I have reviewed CVCA as a 5-star rating as well. Our cat was cleared for surgery. Dr. Hutt stayed within the care plan (Within budget) and managed to save some of our cat's teeth, including her three remaining canines. Discharge was easy.

We were given clear instructions about what to expect and what to do in the days ahead. We really appreciate getting all this information written down as well, I'm not sure how much I absorbed. We received a very nice follow-up phone call this morning, inquiring about how our cat is doing. We look forward to our next follow-up call as well. As our cat is older, we were feeling very stressed in the days leading up to our cat's appointment.

Everyone we interacted with gave us such confidence and compassion that by the time we picked her up, we were feeling much calmer. Thank you so much for the excellent care of our cat.

Cons: Very expensive. Cost for near-full mouth extraction was 2-3 times what our regular vet quoted. Ate significantly into my annual hooptie-purchase fund. Pros: For us, it was legitimately worth every penny. Would not hesitate to come back for any future services as needed. It's been five months since my dog's procedure, and she's never been better. Details: My dog had a near-full mouth extraction back in late June (2019) at Animal Dental Center.

This place was recommended by our regular vet. Although my regular vet said she could do the procedure, she also said that because of my dog's age and super-sensitivity to anesthesia, if the (significant) additional cost wasn't a burden, there were real benefits to getting the extractions done at a specialist. I have zero doubt that my dog would be doing just as well as she is now if my regular vet had done the extractions, but my dog's recovery might have been slower and been met with complications.

As it was, my dog's post-surgical recovery was faster than quoted. This kind of thing literally never happens with my dog: she's hypersensitive to anesthesia (and just to meds, in general), and she tends to be a slower healer. Dr. Tjepkema was the one who did the operation, and she did a phenomenal job. My dog suffered from zero post-surgical complications, and she continues to be a super happy shedding machine.

I'm very grateful to Dr. Tjepkema; she's just an awesome vet. My only regret is that I didn't get this procedure done sooner. Only in retrospect and in noticing my dog's subtle behavior changes over the last several months, do I realize that my dog was likely in pain because of her bad teeth. Sorry, doge. Oh, also wanted to mention that the consultation was quick and pressureless.

I wasn't hard-sold on anything, and I had the option to leave without scheduling anything further after my dog had been evaluated. I got the feeling this place has more than enough clients to keep them busy 24/7.

We had the pleasure of meeting with Dr. Kim for a consultation on Monday, and she was knowledgable and very personable. I appreciate that she did not misrepresent the dangers of veterinary general anesthesia, but essentially gave us every single answer we were looking for. When I went home, I researched the information she gave us, and her knowledge was up-to-date and spot-on.

The incidence for dog death from anesthesia is around 1 in 1,000. Yet, clinics without certain resources have death rates as high as 1 in 600 or greater. We probably won't choose this practice for our dog's surgery because we've found a hospital that offers procedural sedation as an alternative to general anesthesia, and it did not seem as though that was an option at this location. Plus, the research I dredged up seemed to indicate a corollary between pet death and the lack of or the presence of a veterinary anesthesiologist, as well as the presence of state of the art equipment.

My dog has a 4/6 heart murmur, so for my peace of mind, in the event something goes wrong, I'm going to go with a hospital that has advanced cardiac equipment and board certified anesthesiologists on hand. Yet, this is not for any lack of respect or trust in Dr. Kim or the staff at this location. They are awesome and we'll definitely use them for routine dental care that doesn't require anesthesia.

I appreciate that Dr. Kim mentioned that all their animals receive the same high standard of care, and I believe it. That said, all pet parents are different. We vary widely in our resources and our attachment and devotion to our companion animals. In my case, my dog literally saved my life in 2009, so the bond is more like that between a parent and child. Thus, I have to choose a hospital that has dedicated anesthesiologists and state-of-the-art equipment specific to my dog's cardiology issues, as any parent would. However, if he was a younger dog without those issues, I'd go with this location in a heartbeat (bad pun).

It was refreshing to meet with a resident with integrity. These are great doctors with great advice and fantastic expertise. You probably won't find anything better in the greater Baltimore area. This location deserves 5/5 stars.
