Great crew! One of the best hygienist, mary, in the Bay Area. Dr Singh and his team are fast, thorough and no-nonsense.

I saw Dr Singh for about a year. During that time he extracted 4 teeth and (as I recollect) did one filling. All went well. Then he neglected to bring up the subject of a tooth implant to replace the first of the extracted teeth. Some six months had passed. I brought it up, and he said yes, I should have an implant because there could be dental problems around the site if we just left it.

I asked some further questions about an implant but he did not answer them in sufficient detail. I went to another dentist for a second opinion. He took x rays and discovered at least two large cavities, perhaps three, that had not been identified by Dr. Singh. I saw two more dentists, who both said they were bad and should not have been missed. Since then, I've had one more extraction, a root canal, and can look forward to at least one more filling.

Una the Hygienist is awesome! She goes out of her way to make sure the experience is pleasant and is so thorough! I highly recommend Berkeley Dentistry! Very nice staff and they have all the latest tech.

I came out worse than when I walked in, I sense this is how this dentist creates his own business. I have seen some similar reviews, but this office pays google to remove them.

He charges way more than other dentists and his practices are not professional executing mediocre work. He's very pushy and tries to collect money from patients before the work has even been started. You're better off taking your business somewhere else.

I had a great experience today. I liked the vibe of the place, the staff is super nice, and I liked there was relaxing music playing throughout the space. My dental hygienist was very thorough and my teeth feel very clean! I'm happy I found this dental office and I would recommend it.

The expressions "dental visit" and "pleasant experience" don't usually come up in the same context. But I have to say that this appointment at Berkeley Dentistry/Ricky Singh DDS -- my first -- was the most pleasant dental experience I have had in over half a century of dental visits. Mona, the hygienist, was friendly, professional, patient, thorough, and immediately put me at my ease. Dr. Singh was equally so. This visit far exceeded my most optimistic expectations, and there is nothing I would have wanted different. Thank you, Mona and Dr. Singh. See you in six months!

I have been going here for the last 4 years. I have always a feeling that something was off. They always wanted x-rays and sell me Invisagline. Went today and nobody working there was wearing a mask, so I cancelled my appointment. That is the minimum safety measures you would expect.

I just had the best cleaning ever with Vivian! So gentle, yet thorough. She made me feel so comfortable and relaxed--just what a cleaning should be. Way to go! See ya in 6 months! MJ

I just had a cleaning done today. To be fair I never saw Dr. Singh but I had an awful experience at his clinic and his dental hygienist Uni had the worst bed side manor I have ever experienced. She was over 20 minutes late. She started by showing me a youtube video on how dental bacteria causes heart attacks and strokes and when I told her I just wanted the cleaning she told me 50% of heart attacks are from gum disease which is a blatant lie.

She harassed me the rest of the appointment about how poor hygiene can be deadly and was super passive aggressive and sarcastic. She continued to harass me after I told her countless times to just please clean my teeth. At the end of the appointment she told me if her and "weren't a good match" I could ask for a different hygienist next time but I will NOT be returning.

I am in the process of getting dental implants. 5 of them. Yes, ouch. But the process has gone so much easier than I thought with Dr. Singh. I am admittedly a wuss about dental pain. But he has been great. The only step I have left is the last one, putting the caps on. He is meticulous in his preparation AND in "checking his work." He checks again and again to make sure everything is lined up properly, has healed properly.

I have known other who got implants elsewhere. It is apparently not unusual to have all the bone grafts not take the first time. All of mine did. I had an unusual issue arise. One of my sinuses had dropped too low and would create a problem when drilling the hole in the bone for the post. He offered two options, giving suggestions as to what was likely the best option for me.

In my case, I am old and had to take on open heart surgery in the middle of the implant process. There are special instructions from my heart doctors. He wanted the instructions in writing so that there would be no chance of his work being any problem for me. I like conscientiousness. I should admit that I get nervous over these things. I ask lots and lots of questions about exactly what is going to happen, what could possibly go wrong, how to deal with any issues.

He has patiently explained everything in any depth I wanted to hear. Finally, the bonus. Getting implants is not cheap. He has found a way to get medicare to pay for part of the process. It saved me close to $10,000. I recommend anyone needing implants to at least talk with him as you look around.

My family and I chose this practice and has been going for a few years. Just the routine cleanings and xrays. I also got my veneers replaces when one broke and Dr Singh did a nice job. Until my son got punched in the face and had two of his teeth cracked. Root canals, new teeth, X-rays, the whole 9 yards. While I was getting my own teeth cleaned, I was presented with a cost break down sheet.

Mind you, I'm laying back in a chair, my son is in the next room in pain and I'm being asked to sign this. I asked if he could send to my insurance, both dental and medical, and he said he could but would require the full amount of $5,004 today. What kind of mother would say no? I signed, maxed out our flexible spending accounts and split amongst credit cards.

I was handed visa receipts and no detailed explanation. I called both my medical and dental and they asked for them to submit a claim as this was an accident and not cosmetic. I called and asked the billing clerk to do this and she asked if I wanted to talk to Dr Singh. I said I didn't need to since she was the billing clerk. She said she had a patient and would call me back. Dr Singh actually called me back and asked why I was so upset.

I told him my frustrations and he said medical could take 3-6 months to review. I told him I didn't care if it took 2 years. I have excellent insurance. I'm still here with no resolution in sight and no one to help me rectify because now they see my phone number and won't answer.

I cannot recommend Ricki Singh. He talked me into $9,000 worth of work on my Mom's mouth. Later, when I became suspicious and decided to take her to our own dentist for 2nd opinion on another issue, she said all the work he had done needed to come out. I watched Dr. Singhs work being thrown in the trash can 6 months after he put it in. OUCH!

If you are planning to consider Dental Implants. This is not the Dentist to choose. The Dentist, Ricky Sing, is misleading, confusing and double talks his way to your making a decision. Does not explain clearly the options and requirements nor did I feel he cared for my needs. Only his. It would be wise to keep checking for another Dentist rather than this office. Plus office is dirty too.

I've been going here for several years and have always had a good experience. My appointments are timely and they do a very good job cleaning, are thorough but pretty gentle. They also give you a nice bag of toothpaste and care products when you leave!

Dr. Singh has been my dentist for over 10 years. He is kind and patient. I tend to freak out over any lol pain and he is always willing to see me for tooth sensitivity over and over again! His staff is also so sweet. I can even bring my daughter in for appointments and they help with her. If you are looking for a dentist in the east bay he is your guy.

Scheduled a cleaning via ZocDoc; when I arrived, there was an error with the website and they told me they could only do a dental exam, not a cleaning. They said the exam was necessary before scheduling a cleaning, even though I had just had an exam - fine with me. Dr. Singh was professional and polite. However, I was required to sign a really questionable cancellation policy form stating that patients will pay $100 for canceling appointments less than 48 hours in advance. It's understandable to want to deter late cancellations, but this fee is ridiculously steep.

When I decided to switch dentists and called (a week in advance) to cancel the cleaning appointment they scheduled, I asked for an email confirmation of the cancellation and was told "we don't do that". I explained that because of their $100 late cancellation policy, I would appreciate something in writing verifying that I canceled within their required time limit. Nope. Hope their word is good enough and I don't get hit with an unexpected bill like many other customers have.

First time coming here, was told to arrive early to fill out an application since I have no insurance and from there they would let me know if I got approved for financial help. All to be told that I didn't get approved, and that the cost out of pocket on the spot would be $1500. Waste of my time and money because I refused service. So I still had to pay a $100 fee!

Money I do NOT have, that is why I needed financial help. He still has the audacity to ask if I want an application to give to someone else?! NO I will not recommend this place to anyone. Nor do I need any paperwork from him for when I go to another dentist. This place is a rip off!

I've had my last 3 visits with Dr. Singh and I am sticking around! His staff is so great and skilled. My cleanings and exams have all been very thorough. Dr. Singh's bedside manner is very reassuring. I highly recommend him and his staff!

Been to see Dr. Singh a few times and couldn't be happier! He's one of the friendliest dentists I have been a patient of. He is very efficient and painless. His hygiene staff is also super nice and well-trained! I recommend!

Dr. Singh is a great dentist. Great explanations of the work I needed done. Gave me options and discussed pros and cons of each. His assistant gave me an estimate of what the insurance would pay during my visit which was awesome. His hygienist Elayna was very gentle and informative. Staff was friendly too! Felt like a VIP dental visit with their $89.00 coupon. Give them a try!

Ricky Singh is probably a good dentist, but I never found out. After my cleaning, I expected him to do a check up and suggest future dental work. Instead, I was told it would be another $69 for him to check me. Friends and other dentists told me a check up was part of the cleaning appointment process. Something was bothering me, and he probably would have suggested work. I'll never know. The hygienist suggested a deep cleaning at $1000.00. Instead, I had it done by a proper periodontist. Avoid this place.

Dont fall for the free whitening kit, itz not free, they will bill u later amd threaten that they will ruin your credit if u dont pay.

Woohooo and yes I finally found a really good dentist. Dr. Ricky sing and his team especially the hygienist the one and only Ms. Karen is the best. Can't wait to see them again.

I was really nervous about seeing him because 1) visiting the dentist makes me nervous in general and 2) I knew I had a few cavities. Dr. Singh was really nice and easy-going with a great sense of humor. After he confirmed that I had cavities, he explained to me which steps I needed to take next. He also gave me a really thorough teeth cleaning. I'm glad I finally found a good dentist. Dr. Singh is the great! I highly recommend him as a dentist.

A clean, small office that offers the friendliest service. Booking an appointment was easy, I only to wait a week. Dr. Singh and his staff get you in super quick, I haven't had to wait more than 10 minutes- it's rare to have a doctor respect your time as much as his own. Not only does Dr. Singh do excellent work, but he really takes the time to get to know you, talk to you, and provides some the best service in town.

He is smart and funny. This practice really goes out of its way to make the patient feel relaxed and comfortable. I'm a pretty nervous dental patient and Dr. Singh makes the whole process comfortable and almost enjoyable (excluding the drilling and needles). Highly recommend.

This is a GREAT office. I was looking for a new dentist after I moved to Berkeley. The office is small and personal. They have the latest technology, digital x-rays, digital photos, etc. Everyone was friendly and the environment was quite relaxed. I met Dr. Singh and was very pleased. What a nice man. He was very easygoing, easy to talk to, kind, patient, and professional. I have definitely found my new dental home in this office. I highly, highly recommend Dr. Ricky Singh to anyone looking for dental care.

After so many years with Dr. Baer, I was surprised to be happy with the transition to Dr. Singh and his staff. Dr. Singh is attentive and very well skilled. Maybe like most people, I'm very interested in both those attributes when it comes to my teeth and potential discomfort to keep them in good shape. The hygienist are very good and give you excellent cleaning and advice on keeping your teeth in good shape. Very happy with Dr. Singh's office. Most of my family is taken care of by his office as well because we all have had good experiences.
