Dr. Jackson graduated from OHSU in 2000 and has been practicing in the Eugene area since that time. She is currently treating patients in our Springfield office only on Tuesday-Friday. We are excited to have her join our team and our patients will enjoy her warm, caring personality and her excellent dental care.
Dr. Baarstad began her professional career as a dental assistant in 1987. 10 years later she enrolled in Oregon Health Sciences University Dental School, graduating as a DMD in 2001. During her career she has seen how quality dental care can change the lives of her patients. She also recognizes that too many people avoid the dentist because they believe dentistry is uncomfortable, time-consuming and /or unaffordable.

As my dental providers, Dr. Baarstad and her staff are always very friendly and professional. I am one of those folks who usually gets extremely nervous when dental or medical office visits are coming up. But the SmileAlive staff and the office setting on Crescent Avenue in Eugene help to put me right at ease. I highly recommend Dr. Terri Baarstad's dental practice.

Just got home from having a broken front tooth fixed by the SmileAlive team, they did a wonderful job and were so friendly and kind throughout. I have been to a lot of dentists and so far this is the best place I have gone to. They focus on preventative care as well as immediate care, and they are aware and concerned with how you want your teeth to look instead of just fixing them and sending you on your way. I am very impressed!

I can't thank Terri Baarstad and Mel, Cary, Victoria and Kris for all their amazing dental care. These ladies all take great care of me! Today we got my final 2 crowns on after my root canals. This should mark the end of this bad time of infected teeth in my head with 3 abcesses. Everything's sealed up nicely with some beautiful work done by amazing dentist!
To probably 40 dentist in my time on earth. Terri Baarstad by far, is the very best I've ever seen. I'm immensely grateful for their good work, especially during the pandemic.

I've been a patient at SmileAlive for several years now and I wholeheartedly recommend this dental practice. Everyone is always very sweet and welcoming- the dentist is not everyone's favorite place to visit, but Dr. Baarstad and her team make you feel as at home as possible. Hygienist Kris is so sweet and always remembers whatever has been going on in my life every 6 months when I stop in for a cleaning.
You really get the sense that they care about you here! As a Mother of a One year old- this is about as close to a Spa treatment as I get, and dare I say, I actually look forward to going to the dentist! :-

I feel so very blessed to have found a dentist for life! Dr. Terri Baarstad and her staff are amazing in their attention to detail.from scheduling, to follow-up and the best part of it all.the appointment! I am always at ease when I walk into their office knowing that I will be taken care of in the most professional and caring way. They treat everyone like family and I consider them my family dentist for life!
