We are so happy with Dr. Winter at Tidal Smiles! I just started bringing my four kiddos here and they have been so patient with each of them and their different needs. The front staff is kind, the hygienists are patient and efficient, and the Doctors are so helpful and truly take the time to answer all of my questions and concerns. The staff here was able to complete all aspects of the cleaning, exam, and X-rays where other dental practices have not been able to accomplish this. I highly recommend this excellent practice for your kiddos!

Absolutely awesome experience at both visits thus far. The first visit was for consult and today my 9 year old had 2 teeth "wiggled" (pulled). We were in and out quickly, everyone was so nice, friendly, calming and comforting. They made my daughter and I both feel at ease and talked to us both the entire time. The procedure was quick and easy and my daughter even said "what, they are already done?

They already did it? It only tickled!" I would have never guessed it would be so easy and simple. So glad to have it behind us and looking forward to our next "regular cleaning" visit!

We have had a great experience with Dr. Winter and his team. Everyone is polite and professional. They were very good with keeping my children calm and explaining the process, with my teenager to my 3 yr old. Dr. Winter answers questions and is very informative about dental treatments. They are also very responsive, even after hours.

Amazing staff and doctors! Everyone is warm and friendly and my normally reluctant child with autism was relaxed and allowed Ms. Anna to clean her teeth.amazing! We are so glad we chose to come here. Dr. Pam was extremely compassionate and for the first time I feel my children are in good hands when it comes to dental care. God bless you all at Tidal Smiles !

My family loves Tidal Smile. Dr. Luke Winter is wonderful with all three of my children. The hygienists are calm, friendly, and patient. The office has done everything to keep us safe during the pandemic and always provide excellent care. Can't recommend enough.

I've always felt that there is no need for children to go to a "pediatric" dentist and they just need to get used to going to a regular dentist. Well after sticking by this and having 3 adult children, I was referred to a pediatric dentist when my son was 4 for a dental issue. He is now 10 and I will admit I was wrong in the past. Dr Winter and his staff are amazing!

Very friendly and knowledgeable. They always make me feel like family and listen to my concerns and explain procedures and exams thoroughly. I live in VB and will continue to make the trip to Chesapeake to have my son seen at this practice. Highly recommend them!

My daughter has seen Dr. Luke Winter for 3 cleanings and one small cavity filling. She is now 3.5 yrs old. Absolutely LOVES going to see the dentist. Most recently, she squealed and jumped in excitement to see the dental hygienist she recognized from previous visits. The hardest part is leaving, she has to say goodbye to everyone, and play on the boat in the lobby before we go, because we haven't spent more than 5 minutes in the waiting room before our scheduled appointments! Would like to add the cavity procedure was fairly priced.

Great 1st time experience! I admit I was extremely nervous! My child who has special needs is extremely emotional when it comes down to see Doctor she's also very sensitive to noises and sounds so you can understand why I was so concerned with this being the right environment and atmosphere for someone like her. When I called to make the initial appointment I spoke with a really nice person who gave me all the details of how they make the environment as comfortable as possible for children like her and that they have experience.

As our first day approached I was still extremely nervous but it was an absolutely amazing experience from the time that I walked in, everyone was so nice and welcoming. Anna was so amazing! I think she could tell I was extremely nervous and that my daughter was a little nervous too but she made us feel right at home and very comfortable she was amazing with my daughter and my daughter responded so well to her which was a first time thing! Dr. Winters was extremely nice and welcoming as well! such an amazing Dr and the staff is amazing! I am so relieved that I found a great place in an atmosphere for my child.

My daughter Elli had a great visit today because Mrs. Tabitha, her dental assistant was awesome! She made her feel very comfortable and at ease by explaining everything that she was going to do and was very patient with her and all of her many questions. She was even able to get her X-rays done. Dr. Pam was very professional and friendly as well! Thank you all for the great care you provide!

Awesome team! My daughter feels so comfortable seeing them with no hesitation or fear. She loves and enjoys seeing the big boat in the waiting room & checking out the aquarium in the clinic. I love the Dental assistant Tara, Dr Pam and Dr Winter(her husband). I have confidence with their care for my little three year old girl. They are very kid friendly.

And the dental team never intimidated me. As a new mom, it's very important to me that I will be approached with kindness and understanding. I get easily offended and lose my trust when health care providers make parents feel like we are lacking or are not a good parent. I felt NO NEGATIVE vibes from this dental family. In fact, I felt encouraged and supported.

They deserve the perfect score. Daughter's appointments always went smoothly. She had no problems or complaints after. She even said "I love the Dentist". And she remembers and is excited to follow her Dentist's instructions to eat no sticky candies and to brush her teeth. So cool! The front desk workers (Kara and Kim) are also very efficient and kind. They are very organized, informative and friendly. They were very good at giving me clear instructions and reminders. I am truly grateful. Thank you so much!

My son absolutely loves Tidal Smiles. They take such great care of us, and they are so good with kids. My son is four years old and they know exactly how to talk to him to make sure he has an enjoyable experience at the dentist. We love Jenny, and Dr. Winter so much!

Highly recommend! The Dental Assistant; Heather, was amazing with my toddler for her first dentist visit ever. My child was extremely nervous going in, but walked out with a smile on her face!

Dr. Winter and his staff were all great. From the moment I called and spoke to Tiara, she was very helpful, sweet and got us in right away. Our Asst. Tabitha was very nice and did so great with my son. Dr. Winter took his time and explained everything so well. We also had the opportunity to have Kara at check out and she helped explain all my insurance coverage. I would highly recommend this office.

We enjoyed our visit to Tidal Smiles Pediatric Dentistry this morning. Dr. Winter and his team were a wonderful help in assisting with our very squirmy and curious little guy. They gave great recommendations on. how to tackle some difficulty we encounter at times with brushing and flossing and gave some dietary advice to avoid some sugary juices and snacks.

Thank you very much for helping us feel a little more at ease with things during our visit. We are hoping to return in 6 months with a little less anxiety/hyperactivity for a smoother visit.

We were vacationing on the OBX when our seven year old broke his front tooth. The front desk staff were so kind and efficient, helping to arrange a same-day appointment. The dental assistant Anna provided compassionate care and kept our son distracted by talking about sports. Dr. Luke Winter thoroughly explained to me and our son what would be done. and expertly carried out the plan of care. I can't thank them enough for saving his tooth and his sweet smile. Wish we lived closer so that we could return. That pirate ship looked like it could be fun!

This pediatric dental practice is beyond amazing! Everyone from the front desk staff to hygienists and doctors are truly wonderful. They made our first dental visit for our twins a great experience!
