I have been going to Boston Dental for 10+ years. Oscar has since retired but he was my hygienist and he was amazing! I am a baby with pain but he made me look forward to my cleanings. Though he will be missed, they did connect me with someone new for my cleanings and she was just as gentle and kind, and I'm looking forward to my next cleaning in Oct. (sorry I don't recall her name).
But I've also had fillings and a root canal at Boston dental and I have again only had positive experiences. which is saying a lot when it comes to very unpleasant dental work. I highly recommend Boston Dental to anyone with a low threshold for pain, they are really great at what they do!

I've had a couple of very positive experiences at Boston Dental. The first was for a dental emergency. I was seen on a Saturday and they were able to take care of my problem. Staff was super nice and helpful. I recently had my first annual check up and cleaning at the government center office and again, they were helpful, pleasant and professional. Office is very clean with state of the art equipment. I would highly recommend Boston Dental.

My wisdom teeth removal went smoothly at Boston Dental Downtown Crossing. I took all 4 molars out under local anesthesia, and I was in & out under 1 hour. I was impressed! The dentist was good (can't remember his name) and pretty straightforward with his work (not too much conversation or commentary during the process). My dental assistant (JC) who assisted the dentist during my teeth removal was very nice and helped me stay calm by checking in on me often and also with his positive encouragement. As nervous as I was during the process, having him there felt like I was cared for during such a vulnerable time and I am very grateful! Thanks JC!

My experience with Boston Dental has been great. They were able to schedule me for multiple appointments at times that were convenient for me. From the receptionists, to the dental hygienists, and the dentist himself are are warm and caring. If you are in the Boston area and in need dentistry I highly recommend Boston Dental.

Love coming to Boston dental in Chauncey st! I'm always treated kindly, professionally and everyone is always super friendly. I can ask all the questions I need, while they fix my smile. I'm happy with the service from the front and to the back. Chris was amazing at explaining everything I need to do after my visit, Dr. Cook always takes care of all my questions and I love the wonderful hygienist who always cracks jokes with me as she does some cleaning. I wish I remembered her name it's totally my fault =. They are all great! Give this place a try.

I went to Boston Dental for a consultation for veneers/orthodontic. I have never been to an office that is so welcoming and very competent. I live 45mins away and well worth the trip. I will leave my dentist office of 10 years as you just assume that all dental offices are the same. NOT true! I'm looking forward to finally getting my best smile at age 60 at Boston Dental.

Do not recommend! After I complained about bad work done there 3 times they finally made a time for me to come in so we can sit down & talk. They than told me I owe $50 for the visit after basically telling me they would not fix the crown that is now the only tooth smaller than my others & looks horrible. They referred me out. When I get home log into my dental insurance account see my insurance covered a co-pay.
They never informed me or had any intentions of giving back the money I overpaid! After all this they tell me I can't come back! Horrible service, rude, ignorant & I spent thousands of dollars with them. Do not recommend save yourself the headache!

Wonderful office, great staff, well run and high quality service available quickly, and with many safe COVID precautions in place I see Dr. Shane and admin Gabby has been helping me with a multitude of appointments I needed after years of dental neglect. Gabby has been great and has actually kept track of my preference of text over call, and texted me when openings came up before my appointment.
She goes above and beyond to maintain price transparency for me as a self pay customer and provided me an itemized receipt for reference. Dr. Shane has spent extra time and really made sure I was comfortable at each appt, including fixing my occlusion which got disrupted by the emergency root canal I had somewhere else. He also does an excellent job with nerve blocks, and was also willing to see if I could do without at my request, and then was repeatedly making sure I was still comfortable. Dr. Shane has been candid about what the best treatment course is even when sometimes it meant focusing on one thing and delaying something else that would cost (and therefore make more), but other times was clear when the more costly option was in fact a higher priority.
He answered all my questions about if I could wait before getting something done. I also saw Bushra for a cleaning and she did a wonderful just even in the area my gums were recently irritated, making sure I was comfortable throughout and pointing things out to me on my xrays. Many of the support staff are actually dentists in other countries still going through US training requirements, and their skill and competence really shows.
I feel a little bad I hadn't bothered to write a review until asked at my last appointment, because everything was so great I was even given free electric toothbrushes, both for myself and my husband at my last appointment, but these were given to me before I wrote my review and the office manager even called to be sure I knew that they weren't contingent on writing a review! Regardless, they do not change the truth of any of the above.

This establishment has the most friendly employees. Kimberley at the front desk is always so helpful via email and in person. The orthodontists are perfectionists and want you to be happy with your teeth. I came in unsure if I wanted to go through with Invisalign because I was 24 and had already had braces for a year when I was 12. I am so glad that I decided to make the investment and I look back of old pictures of my teeth and can't believe they had once been that way!
My teeth were primarily crooked on the bottom and really only irritated me. I wore retainers for 9 months and while it was annoying to brush every time you eat or drink coffee, it was totally worth it looking back now. I'd recommend BSG to anyone.

If you ever need a root canal go to Dr. Alyassi! I just got my root canal procedure done with him today and I was so impressed by how smooth, easy, and calming everything was (and I'm one of those people that freak out at the thought of even going to the dentist!). He explained everything so throughly during the consultation and told me exactly what I needed to take during my tooth infection and prescribed the antibiotics.
The swelling from the infection went away as he predicted and he went in and did the root canal with ease today. He was so patient and explained everything during the procedure. You can tell that he truly cares about his patients!

Oscar has been my hygienist for years now. He's gentle, careful and thorough. I'm always happy to see him as well. He's personable and really just the sweetest to catch up with every 6 months. He's retiring soon and (for very selfish reasons) I am dreading it! Early in 2019, Dr. Shane filled my first cavity ever - I was extremely nervous (mostly for the novocaine) and he made me feel so comfortable and calm.
He was very patient and understanding of my anxiety - he's wonderful. Dr. Simon is equally wonderful and also very talented. When I was very young I chipped my two front teeth, they were repaired locally at my childhood dentists office and lasted for years. Sometime later, around college, Dr. Simon repaired them for me again, cleaning up usual wear and tear.
They have not only lasted for years since she last worked on them, but they have looked gorgeous and pearly white since - which isn't always the case! More recently Dr. Simon filled two cavities and she was just as gentle and swift as I remembered. Can't recommend Boston Dental enough. Oscar is an amazing hygienist and Dr. Simon and Dr. Shane are both top notch.

A year ago, I decided to shop around for a new dental office. I have been a patient of Boston Dental for over 20 years. I followed the practice and change in ownership. That being said, it is evident that I am loyal and like this practice. However, a year ago, I was treated rather rudely by the office manager, who did not take the opportunity to work with me.
I found out that she is no longer employed at Boston Dental, and thus, I decided to go back since my favorite hygienist Oscar is still an employee. The new office manager is Denise Baptista; she is fantastic, very respectful, professional, and personable. She is willing to work with you to find a solution to whatever the issue is: Dr. Malecki, a great job on the new valuable addition. I pray that I do not get disappointed again like I did last year, so I will keep my five stars for now until I feel like my faith in this practice is restored 100%.

3 strikes. PLEASE GET A SECOND OPINION FOR ALL FILLING REPLACEMENTS First strike, I get an email from them stating that it is time for my cleaning, I call and make an appointment. After the appointment, I was told that the cleaning happened 2 days before insurance would cover it, they scheduled it too early and said that insurance goes both ways and it was my responsibility even though they sent me the email to schedule the appointment.
Second strike, they told me that I needed to re-fill my fillings, and that one was so deep it needed a root canal and crown because it was not possible to re-fill with out hitting the nerve. This was very very expensive. After I paid my bill in full at the office right after the procedure, four months later I was sent another bill which was very upsetting.
They stated that their computer system just randomly sends bills. Up until this point I figured that just the office/billing was incompetent. Third strike, went back in for another cleaning. I'm on my 3rd dentist in under 2 years because of turnover. I'm told that they need to re-fill another filling, I ask if it was the one they just did because I was told that everything was fine, they said "no".
I am holding a explanation of benefits saying that the patient is not responsible because the same filling was re-filled twice in a 24 month period. They screwed up and lied about it. They've double drilled so that now I will surely need another crown in my future. I'm not even going to try to get my co-pay back, I never want to talk to these people again. I know many people who don't have fillings who are very happy with this place, but if you have fillings they look at your mouth as a gold mine.
